This is a speculative share, no matter how well run it is as a business. At the end of the day you are betting on the price of cryptocurrencies holding or continuing to rise. There is bullish sentiment behind cryptocurrencies at present, but most of the bulls would agree that there is potential for huge volatility within that. Sure all companies are vulnerable to factors outside of their control (see: Covid pandemic), but cryptocurrencies are especially volatile.
This share therefore also attracts traders.
Like others on here, I'm relaxed and expect in the medium term at least to see a further return on my investment; Ihave topped up this am, but am not betting the house on it. If you want steady guaranteed returns this is not the share for you.

Shareswatch is a pretty leaky ship in my opinion - many of the shares he featured rose significantly in the week prior to publication, most notably Bidstack. There are other reasons too of course why Bidstack is rising - and it may be that JD's comments were available elsewhere (though I haven't seen them) - but Isome will ha e taken profits, and I think this is just a correction before we keep heading up, especially if deals get nailed

Really interesting to see what else you're in: Surprised how few list green stocks, but looks as if you specialise in Pharma, some gold and financials
20% EQT, mainly as bought early and held, like many of you here in SNG
Lots of diversification rest of portfolio, not so much for good sense but mainly cos I like a little punt here or there, but pretty well all the smaller cap shares listed in this thread
It's still boom or bust with this - I'm hoping boom naturally but drug trials don't always work out as we'd like. Working in healthcare and seeing the devastation currently being caused by Covid, I really really hope beta-interferon proves to be a wonder drug

me too, finger kept hovering over sell button Friday but couldn't quite bring myself to do it as price inched down. Would be able to buy them all back way cheaper now, but hey ho.

The price of ARB definitely doesn't mirror the day to day fluctuations of BTC; like all share prices it looks forward on estimated future value. Based on current BTC price, ARB is undervalued; but the market has built in a safety margin in case BTC falls - which is not out of the question given the recent rise and previous history.

I would expect the market to have already priced in the new machines. It's waiting on seeing whether Bitcoin sustains current levels, rises, or drops back.

yes, I reckon this wins the rampant board award, maybe because there's lots of investors bought on the spike and desperate to get back to profit. Board shenanigans don't help

there were definitely loads of rampers prior to last results when it hit £4 and then dropped like a stone. More considered this time, but still easy for people to get sucked into the hype. Shares are often unpredictable on results and trading updates - depends how much the market has already priced them in - and as others have said patience is usually rewarded. Underlying fundamentals suggest to me still room for growth but I think it is going to be slow and steady. I topped up this am for the long term

depending on market response to trial shenanigans, looks like 1.8 tested support and may progress from here.
Suspect it may need to establish a new support level and then motor north once news comes in

yup, interesting, others shares I've topsliced on the way up, this one I've baely done so, as convinced there is way more to run.
HL - generally been excellent app & online (recently app been flaky)
AJB - less good interface, charges marginally cheaper
not tried II, lse or ig for trading; ig look good

We all know that predictions are meaningless, just guesses in fact, informed by a mixture of fact, analysis, personal outlook and (hopefully) optimism. There are so many factors outside our control or even predictive power.
This share could be amazing if the treatment is effective, the more effective the better. If the trials peter out to nothing then we're left with not much.
So, guess away. I think there's potential, but I'm not betting the house on it

Tell me to shut up if you want but the home trial needs to be publicised and not just known about amongst SNG shareholders and their families.
If you care - write to your local Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) - they will have patients they are treating at home in VirtualWards who fit the trial criteria and who could have potentially life saving treatment via this trial but it isn't well publicised

I've made a bit trading ITM when it was in that 225-300+ range, but mainly each time I've topsliced I've regretted it and got back in sharpish. Sold a few start of the week and selfishly hoping it will dip back briefly so I can buy them back for free
Hydrogen has been around for a while but this time it feels like the time has come. Always uncertainty and ups and downs with these shares but I think if you are willing to hold then high probability of gold in years to come.
And I would rather invest in something that brings something to our future

The idea that you are going to get school children to do it properly week in week out is unrealistic. Then, even if done properly, the specificity and sensitivity leave a lot to be desired.
That is why it is so frustrating that Avacta have so far failed to deliver. I'm presuming it's not that easy, or else it would have been delivered when promised, but like many shareholders I'm losing the faith.
