You can buy it through one of the exchanges.

Binance being one of the better ones for trading. Coinbase is also a safe exchange to use.

What you need to do is sign up to one of them. The security is tight as you can imagine being crypto but once through all the security it's a breeze. You then fund your account then buy BTC (Bitcoin) then convert the BTC to ADA (Cardano). You also need to have a digital wallet to keep your ADA safe (Daedalus) which you download from the cardano website and once you have purchased your ADA you then want to send it from the Exchange to your Daedalus wallet.

Cardano website has lots of info on all this and the reddit for cardano is really helpful.

I always keep my crypto off the exchanges and send it right to my digital wallet once purchased.

Cardano ticker ADA. One of the interesting things is the stake pool where you can put your holding without any risk and gain more coins. It's the same as getting interest from the bank, so the more you have the more you get back. The difference being the returns are between 6 - 10%. That aspect of it is due to be launched in July this year and at that point the price should rise as more investors will be staking so not much selling due to most looking to get the % gains from holding. Also the hope would be the more it hits main stream as a source of income from holding then the more buying pushing up the price.

It's not for everyone and like I said I'm shooting in the dark. I'll be holding till the year end and see where we are. it's currently 5c and I need 17c to break even. The last bull market crypto had it hit $1.33. if we can do half of that I'll be laughing.

Bought £20k worth in 2017 and now worth £6k. I was up £60k at one point and decided to hold but it went the other way.

Apparently cryptos are about to enter a bull run though and they have started rising a bit and I'm hopeful of getting my initial stake and something on top back. I've actually averaged down to make that more realistic.

I bought a seed called Cardano ticker ADA before it was anything other than an Idea. it's now about to fully launch and it's starting to gain some traction. It might never do anything but if it does then it could be a nice earner.

My take on it now is I've absorbed the £20k loss in the sense I had written it off but it could also be a game changer as it's one of the most advanced cryptos at this point in time .

Pure speculation on my part as I know little about the crypto space. If it bags my profits might well end up in YGEN though :)

I agree mate, that same article has been rehashed over the last few weeks by so many different online propagators no wonder it's confusing as to what the actual angle of the article is and I think a lot has been lost due to rehashing to make it look like their own piece.

I think the bottom line is there is huge growth to come over the next 7 to 15 years in the NIPT space and we are nicely placed to benefit. I don't intend to be holding Ygen for that length of time but the market might like to start and price in our contribution once we get our foothold in the states.

Starting with our CE mark we might well see some rapid traction which I am very much looking forward too.

The type of customer the NIPT is aimed at do their research. They will want the most accurate test. I think that will be the difference and these types of articles are not aimed at our customers.

Any good healthcare consultant tasked with providing advice in this sector will know who provides the most accurate testing and will direct them to our Yourgene health.

fair enough, if it makes you feel worried because we've not had news to tell us the numbers. Maybe you can take some assurance from the fact the company tweeted two weeks ago that we were manufacturing covid 19 test kits.

The number we are doing would be good to know but we will know when they tell us so I'm not bothered in the slightest. Just glad we are in and taking part and looking at the way things are going we will most likely be doing very well.

This company 2 months ago was nothing to do with the covid space and in the future most likely won't have anything to do with it. That's not a concern as the core business is what everyone is invested here for.

The US market, the Chinese market, the expansion of new products in to the EU.

All in YGEN with £70k, I have a holding of 385k. No where near enough to make a ripple in % terms. I don't intend on buying anymore as I'm investing only what I can afford to leave in the market without compromising living standards. If I lost my shirt then I'll be OK as I have others but I only invest with what I'm willing to lose :)

Join the club, I'll be hoping for something everyday till it comes :)

On a serious note, I think based on the current BOD and the way things are being done now this company has a clean slate and a clear path to growth. That must be some comfort to those who have held as long and through the bad times.

The potential growth is as good here as anywhere from what I can see.
