the rns stated that the shares used as equity had no restrictions on price but a 12 month lock in. So the can sell at any price but looks like they chose to sell at anything between 18p-20p. I noted they have 25 mill to sell and if they started selling them soon as the lock in period was concluded they can't have many left? Mind you they warrants (8 mill) were executed as well plus BGF sold a few so maybe a small overhang left?

One for the longer term holders...….the 25 mill as equity for the acquisition of Elucigene is one thing but the Elucigene management also rolled over 60% of their shareholding in to Ygen. It could well be that they are selling the lot and sailing off into the sunset. Anyone know what they actually held? other than the 25 mill from the equity of the acquisition?

Have to agree with that. Also, we are after all a contract manufacturer amongst other things so it stands to reason we would be contracted to many other companies and still produce our own.

I'm guessing NCYT's margins must be tight if they are having to hire a near bankrupt company that wasn't even complaint or had a team capable of meeting the demand due to not having the personnel. Considering the amounts of money these tests can generate it just makes no sense.

Well done Ygen and LR. Recognition for the work that they've done. Nice to be involved with a company recognised by it's peers are being one of the best.

That's mental. Glad to be associated with the professionalism upheld by Ygen. They probably got a first hand look at how NCYT were conducting business and thought they can do it better. At the end of the day it's about working smarter not harder and LR has clearly seen a better route for YGEN in this market.

Yourgene said this week that its testing laboratories have launched a COVID-19 testing service, aimed at defined populations such as UK general practitioner surgeries, private clinics, and corporate clients in the UK. The company is also developing its first infectious disease test - the Clarigene SARS-CoV-2 test, a molecular COVID-19 PCR assay with a rapid turnaround time and high sensitivity. It plans to release a research-use-only version of the test by the end of June and a CE-marked in vitro diagnostic kit in July. Initially, the test will be a manual assay but Yourgene is working on a fully automated version for high-throughput laboratories. It plans to sell the CE-IVD kit to other labs and to run the test in its own service laboratory.
Yourgene also said that its core molecular diagnostics business continues to perform in line with management expectations. It remains confident of receiving the CE mark for its Illumina-based Iona test in the near future and plans to announce its financial results for its fiscal year, which ended March 31, by the middle of July.

Anyone else think there could be a large buyer and a seller at this level? hence us not moving beyond till complete?

Maybe not but the share price seem to be getting managed and held here for a reason. No major fluctuations either way, no bull or bear struggle. Seems like an order going both ways.

It seems to me that Ygen by carrying out the work for NCYT obviously realised that they could just as easily be doing this for themselves. Why not, we have everything required to make a success of this and testing is a huge part of the new way of life for everyone. Also the potential for a second wave during the winter months if not before.

Ygen is looking good.

Just looked in on NCYT and no wonder they appear to beat a loss with what's gone on. Share price looks to going in reverse too. I could be wrong but it all seems really strange and gives rise to more questions than answers.

that makes NCYT look unprofessional and not fit for purpose. Surely when you give someone a mandate to manufacture you do your home work and make sure they meet all criteria? from that article you posted they had to mortgage their personal property and get bank loans just to get compliant. Then they had to hire a bunch of people and train them?

If Ygen have severed ties with NCYT then it's for the best. We are a professional outfit here and can do much better without working with imbeciles like that.

No idea if the NCYT test kits are what was returned as faulty.

I have however considered the fact that Ygen has went their own way with regards to creating they're own test as you would think it would be a conflict of interest having an agreement to assist with NCYT test kit manufacturing and to then start producing your own kits. You would think NYCT might have took the hump but in the same breath maybe NCYT simply weren't putting much work Ygen's way, so they setup their own test?

Maybe the fact Ygen have stated they are targeting the private sector means there is no conflict of interest between the companies? because right up till this week all the tweets and retweets of articles from YGEN have suggested all is well between NCYT and YGEN.

We need an update to clarify but neither NCYT nor YGEN have mentioned it again lol

the market as a whole tanked during that period. Hence the quick move back up. Mid march was the bottom.

Most of the people jumping in and out of these stocks represent a tiny fraction of investors. Ygen was 25p back in march. We've since had great newsflow since but the constant selling has walked us back down every time we move up.

Once the selling is done and possibly another insti buys a good % we will see a different take on things imo.

Our time will come for sure imo.

I think that fact they updated us same day as they sold meant they were done. Strange one though cause they hold a lot of GDR and must have made a killing so why sell 600k here? What we need is good figures to put meat on the bones and instis hoovering up the slack from the seller. That will happen imo soon as we get the meat on the bones.

I think it is the selling. I've been watching us get walked down all day. every buy is more or less matched with a sell. Not like for like but for every set amount of buying there then is an equivalent amount of selling over a one or two trades.

I think some numbers on NCYT agreement and the full year results might put some daylight between us and 20p and help to get the seller out. I know the NCYT income won't reflect in the full year results but hopefully in the forward looking statement there is something to chew on with respect to that.
