Try a guy called Michael Taylor @shiftinghares he's a trader. Read his tweets and also he is giving away some of his books for free being black Friday. There's others very decent - Noel Borg @Borg74 very good swing trader, there is so many more. But you need to read a lot

In order for the price to start rising you should see liquidity dropping. Meaning that if I want to buy and no one wants to sell at the price I want then the price will rise to entice a seller to come out and sell it to me. Therefore I would now be hoping for a few low volume days for the price to rise. Of course if a piece of news comes out which is favourable/unfavourable all bets are off. You'll see lots volume and price action depending on whether news are good / bad

you have a lot to learn - first lesson for the day the figures that LSE quote about buys and sells are an approximation so to be taken with a pinch of salt.
2nd lesson every buy has a corresponding sell and the inverse is true for a sell. Do you think shares magically appear?
3rd lesson - what should be of interest to you is the increased volume (more than there was on 12/10 when this low was tested again). This could mean one of two things without having the hindsight of Monday next week. Either lots of people buying or lots of people selling.

I am with the lots of people buying camp. If I am wrong then I would set myself a decent stop loss probably around the 92p mark to exit as if it looses that area then more falls to come down.

For the uninitiated looking at charts and scanning for breakouts to buy it could trick them thinking to buy. As it turns out this hasn't happened but I reckon it's the usual Friday shenanigans by MM's pushing prices to highs or lows to test weak hands

Clutching at straws here JTAN but do you think as a last hope we may have a handle forming here? Some rough calcs I did it is just about 50% retracement of the recent top. It is extremely marginal and would require a break out of this drop to be valid.

Say what you will but INCE seem to be re-focusing on core activities. By the time they have built their reputation back up it would be too late to jump on board in my view. Shipping if I am correct is still the core and shipping is flying. Lots of business there

So far CNA seems to be taking it in its stride. All priced in and expected

Taverham I am not disagreeing but I see it this way. The big co's and energy producers like BP take the windfall tax in their stride. If you look at the market it is the smaller producers that are affected share price wise like SQZ for instance.
The windfall tax I think although it will have a short term negative effect on CNA's price it will have an even worse one on smaller producers. I hope this weakness in the smaller ones makes for consolidation to the bigger players and a stronger CNA emerges. Does my rationale explain it?

Helikon is a fairly new fund. It is run by ex-Kairos fund managers and seems that the controlling interest of the London based branch is to Federico Riggio. Based in Italy I believe.

I welcome the news of the windfall tax. So should you. It will eliminate the minnows and only a few players will be left. Centrica is big enough to withstand it. And once it does it is back to a close group of companies again supplying energy rather than the myriad of hopefuls eroding margins and blowing up at the slightest of sneezes. Bring on the windfall tax. It will be an opportunity to load up on CNA as the trembling imbeciles start selling
