Cobus Loots, CEO of Pan African Resources, on delivering sector-leading returns for shareholders. Watch the video here.
General feelings following the RNS -
As a Human- Very impressed and happy that such scientific breakthroughs are being made.
Generally - No bad news as such and all moving in the right direction. Great long term value.
As a greedy investor - I wanted some numbers in relation to test sales and production to push the share price on.
Not that I intend to sell any time soon but it's always nicer to see my portfolio in a better place.
I'm cautiously optimistic about tomorrow. I myself will be drawn straight to the section 'post period highlights' or similar rather than the figures. My greatest concern is the anticipation that has been built up awaiting the results (or more specifically the operational updates) has been too great to accommodate any poor news or silence and could hit the share price quite hard in the short term. Hopefully we get most, if not all of the answers we are looking for though and quite the opposite happens!
Roll on 7am to put me out of my misery either way.
I've just had a quick flick back through the RNS' to look for any mention of registering or trying to obtain the relevant approvals for home use as it's something that is mentioned frequently on her but I can't find anything.
Is this something that I have missed on an interview or is this just mentioned on this board as a 'nice to have'?
I'd be appreciative if someone could point me in the right direction please?
Garry Graham, you have nailed it.
I'm definitely conflicted with this one. The board have really done a number on PI's here. Can we trust them to not do us over again, I don't know. Certainly need some sort of positive communication /explanation from MB to get me back on board though I'm afraid. It was all very underhanded.
"The Board is delighted by the support we have received from new and existing shareholders, and is pleased to welcome a number of new blue chip institutions to the register." is the bit that sicks in my throat that the NEW blue chip companies got to participate over myself and other shareholders who missed the boat. The mention of JV funding also gets me, he's mentioned ongoing talks about a JV several times, so we've just been led down the garden path on that one, no mention of needing funding to complete that particular item before....
However, my strategy was to hold till production started and I have an average of 3.6p. So looking at it as if I was a new investor coming in. I would be very happy with where I am right now and the fact that we are funded and the EL has been issued. It's a good place to be so I shall not be selling (yet).
Just looking back at the RNS’ I noticed this phrase from the 12th April “ We are focused on successfully completing the Exploitation Licence application procedure and submitting the application to the Minister for award of the Licence early in Q2 2021.”
I was originally looking for where they had stated it would be awarded before the end of Q2 as has been discussed in here. Could this have been a mistake and should have read Q3?
Cheers for the input guys. Looks like I’m just going to have to take the plunge. Given the sentiment, it looks like I’ve got way more to miss out on than gain by waiting for a couple of pence drop.
I've been biding my time and looking for an entry point here since around the beginning of May in the hope it retraces back below 16p. Can anyone remind me of when the spud date is please?
Hi Ojay,
Probably my fault. For context is was referring to Neeko's post where he has quoted a previous RNS. In particular the line that stated 'we are looking to complete all the necessary steps and to submit our application for the Exploitation License to the Minister by the end of Q1'.
Matad were aiming to submit their application for the licence by the end of Q1 2021, with potential for slippage into Q2. Would you (or anyone else) expect an RNS to state that they had submitted their application?
The second part of my ramble I was just speculating that there would potentially be a period for the application to go through the administrative processes following this.
Would be people expect to see an RNS stating that we have submitted the Exploitation Licence application to the government? This would firmly put the ball in the governments court.
I'd like to think that the government have been involved heavily throughout based on previous RNS's and have approved various elements as the process has been ongoing so it shouldn't take to long for a formal rubber stamp. However, is there potential that it could take, purely as a guess, say 28 days from the application being submitted to approval for administration purposes, etc?
Sounds like a plea to not send a letter to the government of Mongolia to me lol
I can only assume from the lack of responses that nobody on the board has an example in how long an exploitation takes to be granted in usual circumstances?
Being a newbie, does anyone have any examples of similar scenarios and time frames of how long exploitation licences take to be granted?
If it was to take 3 months usually, for example, if you throw in Covid and Mongolia working their way through a new system, you would probably expect 6-9 months to be reasonable and the wait so far to be excessive.
I have no idea how long this sort of thing takes so would appreciate any input.
