They may pay ground rent, if they don't own freehold, but otherwise it's a leasehold and they own it, so some of these comments don't make sense. If they improve it they still make money from improvements

Surprised there isn't more naming and shaming with those associated with shadow fleet, though I suppose they are most likely from foreign agents that simply won't care what Europe or America thinks. if it is other players closer to home would be interesting. I agree you would expect it was already priced in after an inevitable night, and yea they already are taxed to death here. The thing is, I'm pretty sure the tax labour would try wouldn't have been worse than it is now if the conservatives hadn't dragged it out and made it so high, they created a crappy grounds to begin with. I'm interested to see if labour bring in their plans and if the oil companies will try legal action against a government that is clearly picking them out because of what they make rather than a windfall or anything else and I find it strange and hard to justify such taxes when others are not seeing anything like it.

This isn't MA sniffing around companies he wants to pick up on the cheap, it's a very good deal for him and he'll want THG to succeed because he's pushing his new payment method which I believe has been added as a payment option company wide at THG. That's some.hefty revenue % there if I'm reading that right

Not saying I think this is going to happen, but I'm reminded of when mm said about those investors that almost screwed him over so he went looking and found private businessmen to invest.
