As the vaccination program moves down the priority groups the proportion of prior infections would be higher we presume, so the introduction of existing antibody testing would mean more vaccines saved, and more people protected, we can hope the government is looking at this most likely will give a consultancy company a couple of hundred million to tell us what we already know

@Satalite, totally agree with the news that previous infection offered at least 5 months protection (the limit if the data available) it seems strange we arent using antibody testing in order to prioritize vaccinations which there is a global shortage of, unfortunately i fear that the government are just not capable of coordination of the testing needed to do so, i do think that other governments may be a little more organized in the near future though.

I agree with you that amongst some shareholders there is a view that Walbrook is not doing a very good job at PR for Omega, but I maintain that we are executing the communications strategy that the Omega board has agreed (and doing so to the high professional standards that Omega expect from us) and that our actual remit in terms of Financial PR and Investor Relations may be very different to the expectations from investors for what they see as PR. Many, I’m sure, would prefer to see more product promotion / marketing or general sales support (which we are not engaged to do). Our instructions are to ensure that the information and PR associated with the company to the market is not misleading, false or deceptive and to make clear what information is relevant for investors to understand the performance of the business or expected performance of the business. We cannot create news or positive sentiment on commercialisation without this news being there.

Fundamentally we need to get away from shouting about delivering capacity and ramping up staff count and get to a situation where we can shout about delivering sales, We hope the Mologic antigen test will be the turning point for ODX, but there is always the spectre of not making any sales. Elisa Tests capacity for 46K test a day, zero sold, ABC capacity of 200K a week, 175K sold, Visitect Antibody now seems to have little focus, lets not trumpet CK for delivering on expectation yet, with the £8M impairment charge for stopping the allergy testing development, 2020 wasnt the best year for ODX as far as revenue generation was concerned, god we hope 2021 is the making of Omega!

@1965Kevin : My opinion (and only my opinion) is that the CD4 and Food Intolerance streams of the business relate to 30-40p of the current share price

@Vascular, This demonstrates what has already been said with regards to antibody testing ongoing, i.e will largely be based on statistical analysis,

20% of 100,000 a week to be tested for antibodies, even if the ABC test is used for this (and a big if as we suspect the government already has 8M antibody tests in storage from previous orders they have not used already) 25% manufacturing slice of 20,000 a week (i.e 5000 a week) isn't going to change the fortunes of many. Antibody testing is small beer, Antigen testing is the market we need to get into, the demand there with schools returning, businesses opening and travel restrictions loosening is massive, we just need the product available so we can get a slice.

@Brighty1 - You make some good points about NOVACYT but lets remember that they were basically in the right place at the right time with little or no competition, there was realistically very little option for the government than throw money at them what ever the cost, things have slightly changed now, yes the demand for LFT is still high but there are many many companies clamouring for a piece of that pie. ODX will do well from the Antigen test, we hope but it isn't a given that we will sell all we can make, especially if other companies gather momentum with supply, its always more difficult to dislodge the existing supplier from government contracts, even if your product is better.

Colin Stated in the November investor presentation (link posted earlier) that TT had started, so we know when it started, he was not as clear as to when it would complete, so we are left waiting to see what "early in the new year" actually means

With regards to NDA, there is no NDA just no news to report as yet, this has been made very clear by Walbrook and Omega themselves.

With regards the Visitect Antibody test, i fear we have made little or no traction in commercialising that test, in deed recent enquiries to ODX with regards sourcing this test resulted in the company directing me towards ABDX and the ABC test

We just have to wait for some news on the Mologic Antigen test and hope we don't miss the boat, One concern for me is that the government have reimbursed manufacturing costs for other companies in the UK (GAD and Surescreen) but nothing from ODX, so as yet nothing to tie us to any commercial agreement with the UK government

The statement on Tech Transfer did change slightly from “In the new year” to “early in the year”, most people would have read “in the new year” as being January, “early in the year” probably means Q1

Look at all the additional costs that come from buying tests from abroad

The interesting point being "ex-works basis", meaning the customers have to go and get them picking up the collection and transport costs, That just means that for us selling in the UK our tests are even cheaper when you take into consideration these freight costs.

As soon as we have the antigen test available, the governments excuse for buying chinese crap goes away, need to get the tech transfer complete on the hurry up, I was expecting it by yesterday, but surely has to be anytime now.

JVT just said they are tracking vaccine effectiveness by linking subsequent infection , not antibody rates, probably explains DHSC canceling further orders, need the antigen test available asap

The MHRA approval was surely held back because of the possible social impact (people taking a test that makes them think they are immune and invincible) an ignoring all the restrictions, rather than the quality of the test itself
