I hold some United Utilities water shares and these do seem to track each other but given the clamour to take water back in to public ownership what is the consensus on National Grid rather than water?

What's driving the increase compared to say L&G etc in your view to hit that target apart from the recent deals synergy

Nothing really changed from last month but the shares have got hit again for the same reason

Considering taking profits on these, held for about 6 months with the view to hold for the long term but 25% appreciation in that time is a lot to ignore. I'm surprised this has taken off as it has tbh

As if Morrisons having issues is reason to downgrade other retailers, they have been sliding since their takeover

Hardly as the morrisons stores are locals, maybe throw homebase stores will be carved up?

Clearly they think the ongoing sales growth for their pipeline is worth it and does partly resolve the expiring patent pipeline that looked thin going forward

It is likely a view on economic recovery and interest rates as much as anything

Forward profit expectations and argos tbh.

I sold some at £3.50 but in hindsight should have sold the rest and just gone in to an all world tracker.

Today is ex dividend day so you are at least locked in for 9.6p

Correction : Make that 2.5% based on bid price

Unlikely I would suggest at a 3% increase from where it is now
