Cobus Loots, CEO of Pan African Resources, on delivering sector-leading returns for shareholders. Watch the video here.
FWIW, I do hope that Argo continue to push the environmental / sustainable envelope in BlockChain.
Sounds good for Texas so far.. ..I know this has been mentioned before, but there are waste-to-fuel developments in the Green Energy sector, which could actually reduce unrecyclable waste and provide power, without harmful by-products.. Definitely something Argo could look into alongside current wind/solar plans.
It also depends how granular you want to go;
How green can we be when building the Texas facility?
How green is it to produce solar and wind processing equipment? [if we offset this primary Carbon-cost, are we in Carbon-debt for X months/years?]
How green was the production of the vehicles and products used to build the Texas facility?
What fuel are the construction vehicles using?
Hmm.... a lot of this comes back to Crude Oil derivatives.
Isn't the $ on more of a Crude Oil standard now..
..strange how we're so dependent on that industry..

...which is why you end up sat here at this time, staring at live charts, looking at your current crypto holdings, and wondering what to hodl, what to trade and what to exit or buy...

Crossover/but related - as a BlockChain company this is the sort of data validation/ warehousing/ crunching (etc) provision that Argo could/should look at diversifying into when the time is right.... If that leads to pharmaceutical markets - particularly in the USA; massive money (and I'm sure Argo could improve efficiency, value for money for the 'consumer' [ie patient], and maybe even a humanitarian spin-off)....
You should seriously consider putting together a proposal (secure Copyright / IP) and submit to a few choice developers.

Friday night here is actually better than the pub was.. ..I've even got my own choice of music playing.
Maybe I've been hanging around with the wrong people (or the right people won't hang around with me!), but another great discussion.
@Lottohopes; much more eloquent and thorough than my scatter-brains can muster; bravo.
I know I keep on banging the same drum, but BTC/Crypto/Finance is just one aspect of BlockChain; Data as an asset is huge.
I've started accumulating a "cryptocurrency and smart contracts platform focused on supply chain management. It allows manufacturers to add sensors, such as RFID tags, to their products that can then record data onto the ... blockchain"
- seriously; supply chain. If Amazon etc picked this up....
But again, my real interest is Health Data / Research....
Mind-blowing possibilities..

To be fair, prior to the short expiry today BTC basically went $45 - 48K over 8 hours. Possibly people who knew were buying-in to see if it got pushed over 50K, and then accelerated up. As that didn't happen, perhaps people started taking what profit they could from the day?
I bought some more BTC around the lows over the past couple of days with that theory in mind, but I haven't sold/traded - I'm happy to HODL as weekends can be busy when the stock markets are closed. The fluctuations just are what they are, and I think I've got used to buying then seeing swings either way, but the momentum is definitely up, and I'm convinced it will remain that way for some time yet.
I'm fully expecting a 20% gain in BTC at some point over the next week, at which time I'll consider trading to other cryptos and/or taking some profit; I've basically got to a point where Argo is buy & hold, Cryptos are for fun trading....
I don't enjoy actual rollercoasters, but I'm really enjoying this.
I was de-risked in ARB, but have added since and taken my original 'hold' average from 11p up to £1 with my last buy today. I think I'm done buying, but the dips are very tempting..
Same as l_b - I'd suggest you might feel better by getting lost in the immense amount of information available about Crypto & BlockChain - in fact; zoom out to BlockChain and think about where we could be in 1, 2, 5, 10 years as a leading BlockChain specialist....
Regards,
CC
Just me or did LSE fragment a few posts earlier? I had to do something else as it was confusing me!
Been a long week (still enjoyable though).
Great catching up on this conversation, and with so many early holders still hodling - amazing.
@Zebedee_ ; yeah, I think you're going to do alright with that attitude/approach. Impressive.
@Tymers ; nice to see you posting here. Always enjoyed reading your insights on other boards.
Looking forward to Monday already, but also planning to make the most of the weekend. Will probably only check the cryptomarkets / shuffle every.. couple of hours or so.. Looks like another interesting one brewing.. (actually, that's just every weekend now!).
Regards,
CC
All the best Ian; well done for being honest with yourself, and I love the conversation this has started here too.
My sleep pattern sucks anyway (back injury), so waking three times during the night and randomly working for an hour until I can sleep again is no big issue for me, apparently this isn't particularly normal?!
I hope you enjoy your earning and your sleep!
[@RC - 3/3 Bulls dying by the sword... Um. Is the lesson here to never charge at a spiky thing...?]

Ha! Fantastic Zebedee_ & thanks for the reply.
Business student, hey.. pretty good start.. if any student should be able to finish a course in profit, surely it should be you guys (although the odds are stacked against you these days, unfortunately).
Clearly you are wise, especially going with a practice first, and then taking the decision to get in ARB when you did.
You haven't asked for my advice, but thinking back to my twenties I will say (and of course feel free to ignore this) - your priorities can and will change over time;
By all means enjoy your profit, but it leaves as rapidly as it comes (sometimes more so), so it's a good idea to put some away somewhere, in some format..
Hot hatches are great until they're wrapped around a lamp post (not me, a friend), so choose your pleasures wisely (my friend was ok, but his investment gave him a good bite before it expired) - when we're young our perception of risk is sometimes skewed. I wonder how I survived..
As good as the interest rate looks on the loan, you've essentially used it as leverage - it might make economic sense to get it paid off in full early (ie when you take some cash out of here). It does away with interest charges, but more importantly it takes away the emotional burden too.
I'm not going to preach (more), but I do hope you make the most of the opportunity - above all I suppose make sure you're always finding it enjoyable.
And well done; this could make for an interesting story for you to tell at interview, when you graduate..
Kind regards,
CC
Kudos Splatted. That's awesome.
& well-said Emerik.
Not everyone will be able to buy large amounts, but every buy and hodl helps - the company and ultimately the hodler(s).
If someone can only spare a few ££ to 'risk' on investing (minimal risk here), I hope they found themselves looking at Argo - if I'd been smart enough to do this when I was a student, I really hope I would've pushed some beer-money this way.
This is why I quite like seeing the small buys coming through - I hope it's younger people finding their way out of debt.
Anyhoo,
Food to cook and wine to drink.
Good week.
Regards,
CC
@Carang12 - Love it, that'll be stuck in my head all weekend (I hope so, over that other monstrosity.. I quite like Lo-Fi Hip Hop, but that was just cringeworthy..)
Also - did someone just unleash the Crypto's - I might be premature, but I'm seeing lots of upward trajectories now....
CC
Oh, good Gods, absolutely awful 'song' IMHO, pretty sure we could do better, but there is a HODL song;
Chris Record - HODL GANG - Bitcoin Rap Remix;
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JZYZoQQ6LJQ
I did the Friday Crypto shuffle....
I expect a bit more to come over the weekend.
I need a playlist for this.
Never had so much fun!
(Probably need to get out more)
Merry weekend all,
CC
Go stand in the corner and repeat positive Argo affirmations until Moon.
LOL.
Shameless self-ramper!
And why not - that's really good info, and you have the laser-eyes!!!
Good job.
CC
Buying since 8.5p (including the dip today). I see scope for many multiples of today's price yet.
But really I wanted to say,
Peals; please just buy some ARB.
Even just one or two.. then you can really start to enjoy this.
I think you genuinely like coming here now, and frustratingly, I'm starting to like your posts....
Cryptocurrencies and digital assets really are an actual thing these days.
It is possible to like old collectibles and new ones at the same time.
Regards,
CC
....and there was me feeling smug about buying some nice Brie this morning!
Good to hear - will be looking out for fancy cars with ARB / ARG 0 in the plates from now on!!
Enjoy!
CC
Happy days; I like diversity, so stocks-wise I'm probably 80% Argo now.. cryptocurrencies I'm in ADA & DOT already (& BTC + others..), so that suits me.
Another point;
As much as I've slated modern Fiat (old coins never die!) and it's ever-decreasing value, due to cross-the board volatility at the minute I've started funneling profits into Fiat and holding in Binance under one of the flexible investment pools, so my Fiat is earning 5% interest when it's 'idle'.
Trad banks really do need to get up to speed before everyone leaves them behind....
CC
(Thought I was in for another drubbing then...!)
LOL; This makes your 7yo daughter a wiser investor than you?! (By proxy at least).
Also guilty;
De-risked on 10X and watched it grow.
Started second-guessing; basically took the original out way too soon, and should have been adding more.
So I've added more.
Have never, and probably will never see such an outstanding example of business acumen and vision.
I sincerily hope the Argo staff are all getting a good bonus.
Regards & thanks,
CC
Me.
I would've bet on it.
But then I would, wouldn't I, having assumed the position of Argo's chief-ramper....
:-D
Except I'm not ramping, I'm just very aware of the fundamentals here.
@Top.trader - I think you're exactly right.
There's clear guidance around the process a company must follow for releasing RNSs, so if you were to time the installation of new machines with a known short-position squeeze on BTC (& our SP), then this morning would be the perfect time to do that in order to bolster confidence....
If we could then confirm our new Hash rate next week, having spent the time verifying it this weekend, then that might also fit well with a recovery in BTC price after today's short expiry....
If we could add a mining/HODL update to that next week, that would be nice....
If we could also provide an update on any potential NASDAQ listings as well....
....I think maybe next week we go Beyond-Moon....
That bounce was well anticipated here, and I hope we all took advantage of it as much as we could - good example of PI's working together over the past couple of days I think.
I'd expect a choppy day (/few weeks) still, but I think I'm probably finished buying for now - again, not because there's no upside from here, but because I've already screwed my average from when I first bought in, and I'm now happy with my position.
I don't need to sit on my hands; I'm disabling the sell button until at least £5, and even then I would only sell a portion to free up capital for other reasons; I still see this going much higher than £5, but I couldn't predict a top.
Onwards Argonauts!
CC
Plugging that final machine in last night/ths morning was pretty good timing....
Just a thought; we might not have had time yet to verify the new hashrate, and to put a best-guess out to market could be misleading.
Perhaps we can give an accurate update on that next week?
