Listen to our latest Investing Matters Podcast episode 'Uncovering opportunities with investment trusts' with The AIC's Richard Stone here.
So... according to your previous post you exited in January.
Presume at that point you didn't understand BTC mining either?

what a disaster this share is, any one that been around a long time will see the same pattern, share gets pumped, mates and owners get out, then it falls back loads, happens time and time again. They have used the weak monitoring on UK markets to get listed, why is it that little or no company infrastructure is in UK, staff are almost all in North America, Canada and Switz. They have zero interest in what UK shareholders may think, they are not even in the UK- its about making the company more valuable so the owners can exit with a big profit.
Personally I think they're just more willing to pay fair-value to be part of Argo.

Ha! Don't hold back @mascotsman, it's not healthy; let it all out!
We're not all total luddites, but there is an overwhelming sense of .... nostalgia? Indifference? Not sure what it should be called. Maybe ludditism is correct.
Now, where did I park my horse?

[Oh, LOL, actually 50 shares, so £115 @ 230p ! I should probably pay a bit more attention to this.... ]
@Tysonfury123;
TBF it was a £50 punt to test the 'Ghost Dip' theory! May average here has moved up significantly from 11p already, so I'd have preferred a bigger dip, but by 13:00 it didn't look like it was coming today.
T212 - no 'fees' as such; they take commission on the spread, but it's often not that bad - I think they make the majority from their CFD tool....
I use T212 quite a lot as I'm often away from my PC, so it's convenient. I also started out doing quite frequent trades so wanted to avoid 'transaction fees'.

@seethreeIPO;
Not sure, to be fair, I was watching on T212 as I'm out of the house.
Got a screenshot from LSE which showed what I suspect was my trade (50 shares) going through at 14:54 (I think), recorded as a buy at 238p, but I definitely paid 230.
There was also a gap in reported trades between this time and about 15:14 when I first looked - nothing reported - I've been back since and the times are all over the shop - looked like it was updating the gap, and moving so rapidly I was struggling to keep up, so it could be that my 'test buy' will have been reported at 14:57 for 230p....
It'd be interesting to have a look back at the trades later to see.
Maybe mine went through as loose-change on a bigger order?
Could also be that I need more sleep....

Fishing for shares right now;
I had a limit buy set for a few shares at 230p just to test out my theory - it was filled at 14:57, but the chart I'm looking at shows 235 as the lowest price at that time (rising from 235 - 240)....
I need more tin foil to reinforce this hat....

[Ha! And none of us can read properly either....]
Hey - you leave AdeleK alone, she was up late....
TBF - a low opening price on a bigger market just screams - buy me! Especially if/when people start to look in to the fundamentals here.
Word is out in the States, so I'm hopeful there will be big volume trading today.
If not, I won't be too disappointed.
In fact, going by previous random experiences here, as hopeful as I am, I wouldn't be surprised if we see a short-term dip; it's like a rollercoaster without a track, this.
Nearly go-time....

15 MINUTES, YOU MEAN 15 MINUTES AND THEN MILLIONS OF GLORIOUS, BTC-LOVING, SMART AMERICANS CAN JOIN THE PARTY?!
13 MINUTES!
I'm excited.... and very happy for the USA....

@ TTD;
I think you needed to simultaneously insert a UV lamp up the other end though?
*Not seen an evidence-base for this.

Beware also the ghost parentheses...!
Reminder for old-hats, and a heads-up for newcomers;
Beware the stop-loss-triggering dip / 'ghost dip'....
We've seen brief dips several times before, including some very brief down-spikes which don't stay on the long-term trace Ladydec's screenshot of the random 66% drop-anomoly last week being a perfect example);
Think carefully about whether you set a stop-loss or not....

FFS - it's going the wrong way for this time of day; what's going on?!

Can we just make sure we leave the analogue numismatists out of this please?
Anyway; Dagnammit - when I want to but on a dip it starts to go up. Again. Again Pearls - it's going up again....
