Yep. 212 is not great for filling orders as esduk says. Free platforms make their money from wider spreads and they probably have deals with MM's regarding commissions etc... to make their business model feasible.

Peel have got their way though. Other MM's just slotted in above them cheaper, keeps the ask where it is...everyone else 47/48 ask

Peels offer price is 44.50 but onscreen offer is 44. They are keeping a lid on the price today, as they have been doing for the last few weeks

Ask is now 44.50 for over NMS

...and, of course, they are supposed to provide liquidity

They do care about valuation, otherwise the price would be all over the place.

Their job is to maintain an orderly market. Unfortunately they only do that when its to their benefit and they run the market to suit themselves and are able to run short without settling for extended periods. So when people say the MM's are taking the p.15s, a lot of the time its true
