The talk in the City is that the boss of Avacta Group is involved with Operation Moonshot – the Government's programme to introduce same-day mass testing for Covid-19.

City sources said widespread rumours suggest that Alastair Smith, chief executive of testing firm Avacta, is heavily involved in the £100 billion scheme to deliver 10 million tests a day by next year.

I transferred mine by rebuying in my isa. Then though screw it and kept both. Will have to pay tax on it, but if it works out as it should...who cares. Isa and sipp is full

When avacta has the capacity to give everyone a high return, why would you dump your holding. You buy because you believe the company will increase in value, why would you shortcut the endgame just because of a change in work relationship? Common sense says not...money is money and the facts have not changed, infact there is more clarity now than ever.

He did mention the theraputics in the presentation, that they were close to entering human trials. Also that it would be tough getting it through the UK medical system because affirmers have never been in a human before

Abbott & Roche tests cannot be used without a medical professional. Certification for home(consumer) use is much more strict and takes much longer . Long term, I think, its the correct strategy. I think the reason Novacyt have their contract is to fill a gap, could be wrong but it kind of ties up with the time scales.

The long term value in AVACTA is the key thing here. They are not just a one trick pony and not only produce to sell, they also license. The AVA6000, if human trials go well, will be a show stopper.

Its a waiting game, and whilst frustrating, you have to have confidence in the company that you bought into....or play the short game and buy Novacyt shares. Nova's value will decrease considerably when something better is available..

LTH of SKIN and I thought todays presentation was a bit of a let down. Watched it at work. Sorry, i thought it sounded unrehearsed and was disjointed and don't think that it didn't do justice to the Waste Water testing. Itfelt like the breathalyser product was the main push but that there wasn't enough detail about the hows and means of getting that over the line.
I'm also an AVACTA holder so DVRG buying more Affirmers is great, but obviously want DVRG to do well too. I think a bit of PR is needed to fix today and I don't mean on Twitter. There needs to be a push, not just saying that stations to read data from the product will be everywhere - where will they be?, will home users be able to buy one?, how much? how is it connected to the Web? ... also more information is needed on the passport.
I just think it was lacking detail and certainly glanced over the waste water product. Sell off was over done but I think "day trady people" thought they would get an easy chunk.
Integumen/MW/DVRG have great products. Today needs to be put down to experience and move on, it was just a day that didn't go according to plan - in my line of work, that's most days and we just have to make it work. They have great product with great promise. Current Share Price for me is already a win and I'll be holding my shareholding for a long time to come.

As I remember, the exclusivity agreement was for consumer only. Business to Business is non exclusive. Govt is a business customer, you could argue.

...Also, tha Avacta LFT will be the only one available for true home testing. The rest of the tests all require medical assistance, as they don't have certifcation for end user use. So if the governement want to test the whole country multiple times,, the Avacta test IS the answer. And if they have to wait until I's are dotted and the T's crossed to get that, I'm sure they think it will be worth the wait.
I'm sure the issue will be production volume. Plus, I think I'm right in saying, that the final testing for approval has to be done from a production batch so I guess the main hard work is probably done.

When it pops off the production line, this is going to be a rocket. A ready made market
