I watched Avacta drop on IG and LSE was sat 6p up and not even moving. Rubbish!

Either IG know something we don't or there is a screw up. Avacta is showing as 176 on their platform

When I saw that at the end of last week, I took a chance and sold out last thing friday. Greatland had the same issue, it was being pumped for Scallywag and then tanked. For once it turned out to be the right thing to do.
Braveheart is having the same treatment at the minute, the pump on that is mad and someone is going to lose some serious cash there.

I think thats unlikely. More likely to mention LFT's as part of the route out...

BMN isn't on their list yet. I've had this spread on since we were 19.9, so I'm a little under water - sure it will be fine if IG ever let me get to the end.
I also have a reasonable holding, I use spreads to top up my returns. Rather than topslicing, I cash out my spread.

I think this is not going to happen for much longer. I reckon IG have taken a major hit with Crypto and they are cutting anything that is low cap where they may get left with their d*ck in their hand.

IG are restricting access to a lot of small caps, requesting 100pc margin. Theyve also restricted quite a lot to closing only, this kind of affects spreadex too as they use IG to hedge.
If you can't come up with the 100pc margin , by friday I think it is, position is closed. It b*ll*cks, considering that you ahev a contract with them, but they can pull at any time. I have a long spread with IG for BMN and BMN was not on their 100pc margin list yet, but I'm sure it will be soon.
They released a list of 1000+ stcoks that now require 100pc margin and they are all small cap. Some pro accounts got notified last week, the rest of us have to rely on twitter....This again skews the market as they would be able to close with notice before everyone else knew and starts dumping.

its only 100% for some of the volatile markets. Everything else is dependent on the size of spreadbet. Up to 250 a point is 25pc as far as I remember

No, you're confusing accuracy with specificity and sensitivity.
Avacta's test is 100pc specific and 96.7pc sensitive.

Perhaps you should learn the difference and understand why that is as it should be.

Producing a test is one thing, having a channel to sell into is where your share price comes from. So saying your test is the best is one thing, producing sales is another. This is how novacyt got their share price.
The tests that will most likely be sold into the govt channel is Avacta, Omega and Mologic. These three have gone through validation at Port Down. The govt is not going to take a chance on another Chinese type screw up.
From producing a test there is a long way through to technical transfer and production. This has already been done in parallel for the above manufacturers.

So saying 5 quid on completion of a test is pure ramp.

Their share price is driving up purely on speculation, but not really sure what the speculation is. They just know its probably a 5-10 min test but the rest is sketchy...If that is to be mass produced, its a China job that is. The Chinese will be knocking them out for half price with a different badge on.

I think this drops more into DVRG rather than AVACTA to be honest.

its an Aptamer test and I think you're right. Unless they have found some production ability somewhere - which, knowing Trevor Brown, will probably be in china somewhere if he has - Its not really worth anything
Also what channel are they selling into?

There are lots of tests around, but not that many in mass production and of the ones that are not many are any good. I think the Braveheart investors think its test validation and sell and as we know its not quite that simple. Plus are they spike testing or real sample testing - thats the question.
