Plumper, could I suggest going off and finding out for yourself, as any self-respecting investor would do if they had genuine concerns about the share in which they are invested. If you see fit to share your findings then great and if not then at least you will have been able to answer your own question rather than depending on unknown posters on a discussion board to do it for you.

I might be wrong but I don't think seadog is here to answer your questions....maybe try directing them to the company?

Thanks ShareTag...been invested longer than many here as it happens but in the absence of proof (more's the pity) I guess it's irrelevant. I listened when it came out but am trying to ascertain whether you are making a sarcastic point about the podcast or a valid observation? Just looking for you to clarify your point if possible. ShareTag, it might be easier if you could just explain what you are pointing us towards by listening to the podcast again? Presumably you have picked something up from it that you hadn't noticed before?

Agreed Mattel although I would add a final category to that....those genuine investors who have been subject to a coordinated troll attack and have had no choice but to reincarnate themselves. I know a poster who was on the receiving end of this and it was at that point he/she realised just how far the trolls are willing to go in order ensure they have a clear forum for spouting their nonsense.

Good posts this morning seadog, Mattel and Ivor. Nice to read some more positive takes on the podcast and I like seadog's interpretation that it's simply an informative discussion on MFDevco; it's true that it can't be anything more than that via unofficial comms and as Ivor says, at least it's some form of communication where previously there would have been nada.

I'm now convinced that it hasn't been a carrot dangling scam all this time (and believe me I had my doubts after the Beaufort debacle), but unfortunately that peace of mind doesn't change the fact that completion is still needed. Keeping everything crossed....the ingredients are all showing themselves at last and we just need that final bit of icing to bring it all together!

Just to add one more observation to last post......the fact that MFDevco are now on record through tweets and the podcast emphasising progress and how much has been going on behind the scenes (and doing so quite explicitly), to me is sufficient in itself to justify release of the podcast. I personally see it as validation of Nuog's constant claims of progress behind the scenes. Some have argued that these are just attempts to keep investors on the hook and ensure the placement money continues rolling in. In addition to seadog's arguments against this line of thought, I believe the fact that MFDevco are now on record also claiming tangible progress, means that the Nuog statements appear to be true. I see it as highly unlikely that individuals from both companies would be colluding to lie in order to obtain placing money via Nuog, with no real substance behind the claims being made.

Despite putting that particular concern to rest in my own mind, there obviously remain the cashflow concerns and timeline slippage concerns etc......all the truth in the world can't change the need to pay salaries and bills, not to mention the perfect troll fodder this presents until a deal or tangible GH news can silence them definitively.

I shall stop rambling now but am curious as to the thoughts of others regarding the timing of the podcast vs. possible official news? Likely or unlikely to follow in close succession? One thing's for sure, for those who can afford to wait (or not wait depending on when/if it lands), it's certainly one of the most exciting shares I've come across and very happy to be invested at present!

I agree with seadog and see Royscot as a frustrated genuine investor; at least he raises valid points which, in all honesty, have no real counter at present other than equal speculation to the contrary. In my humble opinion, posters who come to the party with valid alternative interpretations should not be shot down in the same way as the mindless trolls.

Very difficult to judge intentions behind the podcast and ultimately nobody knows for sure unless actually 'in the know'. Could have been to steady the ship and maintain the recent (and welcome) news flow ahead of official news. Could have been to manage expectations and emphasise how long the process takes for the benefit of those who post 'no news today' on a daily basis. Could have been a teaser before dropping 'the biggy' in short order, but then part of me wonders about the legality of that; would they be able to release such a podcast within days or weeks of news? Granted there was nothing sensitive but not sure of the logic/legality of doing so?

As with all carrots dangled so far, it's open to interpretation. On the one hand there are those such as Roy who are frustrated with the constant 'jam tomorrow' approach, whilst on the other are those like seadog who see each piece of news as an attempt by the company to keep shareholders informed of everything that's happening behind the scenes but to do so in a way that does not contravene AIM rules....interestingly Alison also alluded to such in the interview.

I suppose I sit somewhere in the middle between the two interpretations, though certainly on the more optimistic side. After over 2 years invested it certainly feels as though things are really starting to happen. To balance that, I do also have that niggling concern about cashflow and lack of any income should timelines slide or indeed if the deal is not as imminent as some hope. Very difficult to call indeed but perhaps all the more exciting because of it for the more cavalier amongst us. Here's to news soon, happy investors, dejected trolls and ideally a #BOOM rather than a #BUST at the end of the next RNS please Simon....

Can you imagine what it would do to the share price if they tweeted #BOOM from the Nuog account haha...or even better added it to the end of the next RNS? I think the ensuing excitement would actually be too much to handle!!

OilWise, fair questions but I don't think it's unreasonable to put it down to unforeseen circumstances. The flow test question seems to have been skirted in the RNS but I'm happy they've attempted to quell rumours the current well is a duster, albeit placing emphasis on the fact it isn't the core/sole objective.

The reason for NF trip was clear; to generate interest/excitement with site photos and HoT signing. It' unlikely they knew at the time there would be problems with equipment and then the additional delays in transporting off site to be fixed. I personally find all of that plausible though am frustrated, however, that they haven't provided some kind of update on the flow test situation as the extended delay now warrants some kind of explanation.

As others have mentioned, a good deal of it is out of Nuog's hands but hopefully today sees the partially negative element of news (depending on how you interpret it) out of the way and now for the good stuff.....hopefully.....

Agreed Dart68 and possibly even intentional to let some special friends in before the big rise? Judging by the chunky buys and reappearance of our beloved mythical creature buddies I would say something more is afoot than another 'jam tomorrow' RNS.....may be wishful thinking on my part but the activity today doesn't really align with a company going nowhere (imo)

Khloe, an alternative way of putting it is that if you don't believe in your own investment and post nothing of substance to back up your negative perspective then you will receive short shrift from fellow investors. #agenda....but in other news #excitingtimes
