Some chunky trades going through although volume still doesn't suggest we are as far along as the translated Brazilian post yesterday would suggest. Surely if all of that is unofficially in the public domain then people would be scrambling to get on board before it's all announced officially? Any thoughts on the validity of that translated post yesterday? Funnily enough the 'kisses' sign-off was the strongest indicator to me that it wasn't just one of our trolls pulling a scam. Signing off in that way is much more common in Spanish and Portuguese than in English and I can't imagine one of our trolls having the awareness to add that sort of detail.

The question then is regarding the credibility of the Brazilian posters involved in the translated dialogue. All seemed a bit matter of fact rather than any kind of revelation, which would suggest the details weren't any kind of surprise to them and therefore not 'new' news....all very odd considering how much further along the alleged facts in their posts are compared to ours.....

Fair point YT but couldn't you also argue that if this is all true then it would have a material impact on Nuog share price, hence need for disclosure?

Assuming the information in that post is accurate (and trying to interpret the parts that aren't clear in the translation), they seem to be much further down the line in terms of knowledge of the deal structure than we are (insiders aside). Any thoughts on that as there is some pretty specific stuff in there and seemingly no speculation as to whether it is/isn't MFDevco and therefore Nuog. Either a red herring or we are even more in the dark than we thought....and it's currently pretty damn dark over here.....

Agreed.....it certainly seems like a scalable/saleable model on the face of it, which is one of the reasons I invested. However, until they secure that first one it also lends itself to continued justifications for placings on the basis that the model is indeed saleable and therefore surely a deal will arrive at some point.

I agree that the pond life are posting with transparent agendas but until the company issues that crucial RNS we are all a bit vulnerable to be fair. That's the name of the game though I suppose and if it was completely watertight then the herds really would be arriving along with their mothers, fathers, sisters and brothers, not to mention a whole new batch of trolls no doubt.

Thanks for sharing seadog. The problem is that with so much talk around this one specific deal, it will be a bloodbath if an RNS is issued to say they haven't been able to secure it. That's why we need a clearer idea of what else is on the table...at least this latest tweet specifically mentions the North Sea so perhaps they are starting to realise the ramifications of all discussion boards focusing on just one play.

The silence currently seems to be for the right reasons anyway so happy to sit this one out, even though they really are cutting it fine in terms of producing something tangible to justify the last two placings.

There is some real scum posting on here again. Personal attacks on company employees are unacceptable in my opinion, particularly from keyboard warriors who most likely don't get out of bed unless it's to go and collect their dole money.

Simon has taken on an almost impossible task until the first deal is complete as the company currently has no real modus operandi on which to keep us updated. Everything is currently based around negotiations, very little of which can be shared until official. Those genuine holders who have taken the trouble to contact him directly have found him professional, informative and enthusiastic about the company he represents. I would be astonished if the employers of some of keyboard warriors posting on here would say the same about them if asked for a reference....and that's just the ones that actually have gainful employment; the others are too low on the evolutionary scale to even acknowledge.

It's one thing giving AM a hard time as the buck ultimately stops with him and he should of course be accountable; his salary and potential personal gain from company success reflects that. However, blaming a new employee because we haven't received the news we want yet is just childish imo. When we had a steady stream of tweets he was getting flack for posting tweets rather than waiting for an RNS. Am I frustrated with the current situation? Yes. Am I blaming anyone other than myself for my investment decisions? No.

Thanks for the reply.....sound logic in what you're saying although I think I would find it difficult personally if I discovered that the reality was different to my research. Information is power, however, and I can see why a digger such as yourself would be glad of some corroboration.

100% agree regarding those who deliberately mislead and my opinions on trolls are well documented here. Thanks for your openness, as always. If you turn out to be one of the misleaders then you would certainly be the best in the business, not to mention one of the most ruthless/shameless, so I'm going to go with my instincts and continue with the 'good egg' theory.....a good and very well-researched egg at that!!

Thanks for the details seadog; have to admit variations of renroc's question had occurred to me too. I'm still struggling to see the benefit of being an insider, however. You can't buy or sell so the additional information you obtain (good or bad) is surely of no material use to you anyway.....not only that but presumably you have to be extra careful what you post on these boards. Even that surprises me tbh as I would imagine a caveat in the agreement prohibiting posts on public forums in case of slip-ups.

From my limited understanding of your situation, it seems be a PI who has simply dug a bit too deep in private research can be invited to become an insider, which is certainly not someone who is fully briefed on the do's and don'ts of company comms, something which I can assure you (and I'm sure you are aware of) is a minefield. Am I missing something or is it just an even more frustrating version of a non-insider??

I think that most here would agree that whatever is inside your @rse is to be avoided at all costs....almost as toxic as what comes out the other end....

I've got a reasonable profit after recent incremental rises but signs are positive and just can't resist holding on to see if it's true this time; just hope I don't end up kicking myself again as i did after the Beaufort spike. As a couple of posters have mentioned, if this one doesn't come off then will it just be on to the next rumour to keep people on the hook. Feeling anxious but also excited....not a good combination for making reasoned investment decisions!

That's true Mattel although interesting that the resignation seemed to be related to expansion plans and specifically TM field. I suppose it would be helpful to know if it is the field under negotiation before analysing these sorts of details, otherwise it becomes another Bentley debate and all slightly irrelevant, but signs and sentiment certainly appear stronger this time....
