Vivas, the US isn't everything. It's been cited enough in the Press that Europe, including UK, will have to support Ukraine even more if the US doesn't. Possibly the frozen Russian capital may be used, I honestly don't know, but Russia will not be allowed to simply keep what it currently occupies. Officially the West still doesn't even recognise that Russia own Crimea. If North Koreans join the Russians in Ukraine it'll justify a Western army also engaging within Ukraine and that'll really warm things up !! I cannot see Europe allowing Ukraine to effectively lose.

Fresian, end to the war ? Bear in mind the following which I agree with from Sky news today :

Asp1, sorry for 'butting in", but are you sure tjat the 8.6m acres you refer to are at nil cost in DEC's B/S ? Surely they're worth min $500 p/acre, thus $4,300,000,000 !!?

She's obviously not including the Oil and Gas cos in her 25% Corp Tax and one certainly could not argue that Labour is "good for" the likes of BP and SHEL and other UK oilies !! And aren't the owners of companies "Working people", ie don't they also work ?!!!

Iwonttell, what you say is all well and good, but now GCAT are on to a 2nd set of Auditors who hopefully will cost less than the previous as, again hopefully, they'll get some of their working papers from them and it'll save some time, eg vouching figures instead of preparing. My worries are how low will the share price start at if ever the suspension is lifted ?!!

Somnamna, surely as a UK LT Non-Resident you have no UK tax liability on UK shares or investments at all unless they relate min 90% to UK Land and/or UK Property, eg UK house rented out, REIT shares, REIT funds. I'm not a UK tax Resident or UK citizen myself and have no tax liability to HMG as my liability is to my current country of residence.

Anyway SteveJones999, as you say it was a gamble loading up here before close, and I feel even continuing to hold unless one wants the AngloGold shares, so I sold my last 1/4 holding today and overall got a satisfactory 153.5p avg. The manipulation of Gold price and the AngloGold share price, both influenced by the USD v GBP rate, is like being in a Las Vegas casino.

Trek, why not set phone alerts for eg 898p, 896p, 894p, and then login altogether. I've had Orders the odd time also that were similarly not filled, I think it's because the Market qty available at a certain price, either live or on a Sell Order (relevant for you to buy here) is allocated on a First Setup basis and you maybe set your Order up after others ? Could also just be chance badluck !!
