Deadly4U, the UK Govt brought in the current price capping system, which is a maximum price so Energy Cos can charge well below it if they wish. I understand Greed, etc .., but why don't they simply charge a price which gives them v good profits and which is seen as moral v current high gas and oil input prices, accept that SSE is Wind Energy ? Centrica announced yesterday that they'll donate 10%+ of their profits back to help reduce their customers energy costs. I'm a LT SSE investor but believe in fairness.

At these low levels a bid could emerge ? Would Lord Lucas be willing to sell and at what price ? CGenuity probably not incorporated a bid or other expansion plan scenarios into their sophisticated model. I can see higher cfd activity emerging the more volatile markets get which will help CMCX. If it was, are there penalties for such mistakes as don't typos occur where a wrong letter is typed instead of another not where wrong info is included, because this is a more important mistake sa a bid from Thomas Bravo is very material ?

Yes denby69, I sold out at pre-exdiv 1448p and plan to buy back at some stage. First Zantac case dismissal helps but there are many more to come so more likely to wait 9 months before rebuying

Jfallinirl, Rumours abound that everyone has given up the fags !! Nah, only kidding !! Value defensive stocks, eg GSK, BATS, IMB, BA., VOD, ULVR, etc...generally down today. BATS has higher debt than MrMarket likes and all eyes are on Jackson Hole summit where bank int rates are central. Also USD strengthening may have some influence ?

But Lending, MrMarket has more influence on DARK's worth than you or I or any calculation we mighr do. The sp was languishing in the mid 300s before the TB publicised interest so if bid for 550 - 600p then that's a material increase. Great to get 800p or higher but ....!!

CR888, An 800p offer would be great, but I don't feel that would happen until more bidders became involved and there were multiple rounds of bids which could be 6 months + down the road.

Lending: That Summit are not a very good fund !! Today's sp materially higher than their selling price Aug 19th I bet and even lower than a 600p+ bid coming soon !!

jzchat, JPMorgan last week issued sp target of 340p on DARK which is generated, I would hope at least, from a sophisticated numerical model which tries to incorporate all relevant variables. Your 173p, which I feel is even more ridiculous, is well below that again. At end of day something is worth what another will pay for it, hopefully Thoma Bravo will offer well north of current price !!

There is a 'dip' today FarmerW, but with a possible Offer RNS coming, and that could be 600p, is the risk worth selling and losing out ? Agree that RNS could also be for Thoma Bravo walk away !!

Yes Ronsterr, you have to own the share on 24th Aug 2022, the day before ex div day here, because on ex div day the share drops by the div amount (and may also drop or rise by other amounts due to other influences) and buyers from 25th Aug will not receive the div available to those who owned this share on Aug 24th.
