As bitcoin crosses 100k, Argo moves away from bitcoin mining.

Had things been different Argo would be up there in the top 10, easily over 1bil mcap. PW would be all over the media and it would be golden times.

PW had vision but no restraint. Chippas has restraint, but no vision.

Oh ok, good luck - it's a much better bet than Argo I'm sure and 2x is a good achievement. Gains can come and go very quickly in this game but sounds like you've got a trading approach that is working for you.

You said you doubled but your detail says you made 27 points the first trade then another 17 the next? That's only 44?

I've taken a high risk play in Laika chain coin. Not a huge amount but reasonable size.

Thesis: Doge is well known as the original shtcoin. Elon loves doge and promotes it. He is coming into gov with the department of government efficiency (doge). Alt season likely to follow after BTC breaks through 100.

Laika is the first doge layer 2 still at v small mcap and could easily 10x (or go to zero)

Very high risk, not a recommendation but if you're that way inclined take a look. Not a long term hold bull run only.

The market is crazy HC - often running a good business does not get rewarded by the market while others get crazy overvalued.

The big question is whether they will pull off a raise or not, and would it be big enough to implement HPC and give them enough runway to get it into production. Seems unlikely but who knows.

It wasn't Helios itself that killed them - it was various decisions made along the way - including decisions related to Helios. But as you can see Galaxy is doing very well with Helios.

Liquidity on aquis is not very good, and we see relatively small volume move the price more that it should.

There were only 302,433 shares volume today, and the price moved 7.4%.

Sometimes if I want to buy or sell there's no market maker to buy off or sell to. Same with COIN. This definitely puts people off.

I don't disagree, I just think the upside is more limited than you think, and these fundamental reasons do matter:

A large number of UK investors have been burned by this already.

The number of shares issued is much larger than last time around.

They are switching to HPC just as BTC starts running.

They are on their knees financially.

They are extremely likely to issue a raise as soon as they can.

But yes I do think it will move north when things get crazy and there'll be a small window of opportunity to make money.

I take it 11.5 is your purchase price? The problem is that if it's no longer a bitcoin miner then the price of bitcoin doesn't really impact it?

The machines are modified for immersion so they won't find another immersion host. It looks like they are going to pursue the hpc path, so potentially won't be a bitcoin miner anymore.

Manipulation at its finest yesterday - but why? Shake out latecomers? Options? Protect shorts? All of the above? Something else?

You've got to ask yourself what does the SEC actually do to protect us against this sort of manipulation? I'm sure it will all sort itself out but it's so annoying.

They have a 20mil+ mcap, and they are deploying 100 old gen miners or something - that's nothing. They are extreme overvalued and they have David Lenigas involved. Would not want them if you gave them to me for free.

Jaybike, yes - the 400 I bought at lunchtime, I got 200 the first try, then it wouldn't let me buy 200 again, but it let me get 100 and then another 100. Yesterday it was similar and I exhausted the supply. I'm guessing MM's just have a small amount of stock that they make available, then when it goes they get some more from somewhere but it takes time.

Bought another 400k - right that's enough now.
