Two small buys I have made this week and last showing as sells. A larger buy made last week showed correctly. Any more experienced investors be able to shed any light on why this is the case?

I was looking at the back of a sachet of AxisBiotix-PS this morning and noted that the text on it is written in English, French, Spanish and German. It got me thinking about any European launches and how it makes sense for the team to be experimenting on the U.K. and USA first, with regards to what works to promote the product. Then launching in other areas once the marketing formula is acceptable. We can’t berate them for not launching in Europe yet because it wouldn’t be a sensible thing to do if they are not happy with the level of sales in the initial markets.

In my opinion, the trajectory of sales growth for SBTX will increase over the next year or so as the snowball effect takes in the following; 1.) Axis marketing methods are honed. 2.) Launch into other areas either direct or through distributors. 3.) Beginning’s of revenue from Croda. 4.) Launch of Acne product, which I think will be far easier to market than PS, and is a much bigger market in itself.

I definitely think it’s a bad idea to expect the revenue to be closer to the 1.2m just because of Stuart’s comments. Don’t set anyone up for a fall when the figures come out. Under 50% of the 1.2m is my expectation, maybe even less. And I’m happy with that for now. I’m sure sales will increase over time and it wont be long before AxisBiotix-PS is just one string in the bow.

Yes Toyin it’s the thing that confuses me the most; If someone’s investment isn’t large enough to be worth spending £35 a year on then why do they even care they can’t read the editorials. I can only think that they complain because they do want to receive it, but don’t want to pay. It’s bizarrely selfish. The other thing they could do would be to leave the investment alone for a couple of years to mature and in that case the editorials on the month to month ups and downs are largely irrelevant.

This old chestnut again. Elric is merely doing the legwork as an investor, the same as we are, but adding some opinions and presenting the writing professionally. The amount charged is next to nothing, about £2.91 a month. Stuart doesn’t tell him anything worthy of an RNS in its own right, it’s not insider information, it’s exactly what Toyin says, like a concierge service contacting the company to save you doing it yourself. I’d rather pay 35 a year to save Stuart having to reply to hundreds of investors, I’d rather he get on with the job.

Fair point Toyin, I stand corrected. Agree with Phat though that it would be the sensible thing to do, whatever the figures.

I agree it’s a very reassuring article and great to see some advertisement that will increase the brand awareness. But I don’t imagine it will make a great deal of difference to the revenue figure to end of June. As per the RNS we are still to expect a figure ‘materially’ under 1.2m, if this changes there will be another RNS. Not trying to put down the campaign whatsoever I think it’s brilliant alongside the great website update, I’m just keeping a realistic expectation. Hope Elric is right with what he says about upcoming news flow and alongside Stuart saying to him that there is no bad news coming and the commercial strategy is on track I remain as confident on SBTX as I always am.

Good spot Phat, was this a physical copy of the Daily Mail or online? If physical was it todays copy?

He definitely wasn’t there! Was he down for a 15 minute grilling like the other CEO’s?

Are you suggesting the ‘To be announced’ CEO might be Stuart? He’d be a brave man to turn up there right now. I say that even with the opinion that he hasn’t done an awful lot wrong!

Yes Phat I’m sure Stuart knows better than most! I believe his next share options are released when the SP is at something like 88p or above for a certain length of time, so his interests are aligned with ours.

I think Phat won’t be too wrong with what he is saying, for the reason that I think the market is punishing the uncertainty. The 1.2m miss being released alongside a figure of 22k to December probably has the market pricing us for a huge huge miss of the 1.2m. Once we know the numbers and we are back on certain ground maybe we can look to growing revenue, and the SP, once again. I disagree that we will know figures to YE by the end of June. I think it will be July or August, but there may be other news in the meantime. Until then, maybe Anon is right and there will be more bad news, maybe some of us more positive posters will be right. We just do not know; and to be fair it’s not really a compelling investment proposition if you look at it like that. For me, it’s my underlying knowledge of the bigger picture of SBTX that keeps me keen and confident even after such a large drop, I’m here for the long term so as long as we don’t capsize, which we are absolutely nowhere near, I’m happy to ride the big waves.

I read something yesterday that rung true to me; “Investing in the AIM isn’t about investing in the best companies, it’s about investing in what people think are the best companies.” It totally made sense with what’s happening here. We lose a bit of sentiment and the price is a third of where it was. I’d prefer a slow and steady incline over the course of the upcoming news but I do think there are a lot of people keeping a side eye on this company and when it looks like it’s going to get going like it did around the time of the bright study those people could pile back in. It all hinges on how good the next few RNS’s are.

According to RNS’s, the rest of 2022 (which near enough fits this period of 3-6 months) should 1.) Bring royalty revenues from Croda, 2.) The commencement of an acne consumer study, 3.) Receive some news of the 12 month oral study led by Prof Andrew McBain which was initiated in 2021.

I think all the above happening would have the potential to put the share price back in the 50’s. Further news of better Axis sales could push it further.

Now, there is also the potential for the above to be missed, which could depress the share price further. However hearing the fire in Stuart’s belly during the post results interviews leads me to believe he won’t let this happen. His reputation is at stake here.

We still have 5 weeks of sales to go before we even get to the end of June. I would bet that Stuart and the new team will be doing what they can to minimise the ‘miss’ as we speak. For this reason I don’t think we’ll hear anything from them until after then, but there should be plenty of news to go at that could lift our SP.

Yes I didn’t consider that possibility. Anyway, we’ll see what tomorrow brings, as I keep saying (broken record!) this can go up as quickly as it goes down.

Agree Trader. It would be a real shame if we got some bad news soon, but I believe Stuart when he says “nothing leaks out of this company, it never has and it never will”, so hopefully the drop is just general market conditions. There will certainly be some questions to answer if there’s bad news tomorrow or Friday.

Patience, patience. I’m here at least until the Croda funds start rolling in, the acne products are tested and released, the AxisBiotix-ps sales are up, the oral study is done and we hear something about the cleanbiotix and Medibiotix. I appreciate that is a lot of waiting, but I have the patience for it. We all know the price could easily be £1+ if the team play their cards right on the irons in the fire. Whether they will or not, that’s up to the opinion of the individual investor. But if the price hits 15p, 10p, 5p in the meantime, I do not care, I’ll be patient and wait.

It is bizarre it’s falling like it is, but I’m also in the camp that’s not even slightly worried. What an opportunity for new investors to take up a position at half of the price of the institutional investors that took the last OPTI tranche! Everyone that didn’t sell out at the results RNS knew it would be a rocky road until the news started to flow again. We are just experiencing reality. SBTX can go up as quickly as it goes down and I’ll still be here when it does. How far it goes down in the meantime, nobody knows, but nobody is having my shares in this mega interesting company at these prices!

Like any board, the ‘experts’ disappear when the price is low, of course they don’t want to look daft. It’s just the same as the derampers disappearing when prices rocket. Skinbiotherapeutics share price moved from 32p to 51.5p between the end of Jan and three weeks later in Feb. 6% drop is par for the course here. This is not Tesco or Direct Line, the risks and rewards here are far greater. I for one trust the company to provide the reward within the next couple of years. If a paper loss weighs heavy upon your soul, chalk it up to experience and invest in less volatile companies. You must have been enthused to invest at 50p or 60p or even 70p. This is exactly the same company, same management, same science. The market may think there is better places right now to put its money, but loyal holders will reap the rewards when the market rushes back because of any good news. There are investors here that bought at 5p when covid struck and Skinbio wasn’t a hot topic. Those investments 15 bagged in a little over a year when the company released good news. Those investors wouldn’t have experienced such success if they hadn’t bought shares at a time like now, when they knew the value was there but the rest of the market didn’t want to know.

Looks like a bad day overall for the markets
