Elrico, good post. I think the reactions of shareholders were valid, as acknowledged by Stuart in the interview. In your post you say you too had grave concerns when reading the RNS, which is relevant as you make it your business to know the company and CEO well, investors such as myself do not have the ability to speak to the CEO same day, as you do, which understandably makes it easier for you to compose your position. Water under the bridge.

I do not think Stuart attempts deceives us in any way, not one bit. I think he may have just become out of calibration on what information shareholders need, when they need it and why. I’m sure he’ll have taken that on board.

It’s now upto the company to show the loyal shareholders that they have acted in our best interests as claimed, and in a reasonable timescale. I do dislike to see out and out negativity on this board, but the SP is the only real scorecard here and right now the naysayers will be feeling smug. LTH’s are vulnerable to upcoming events and I really hope, and support, the board in putting us back on top soon, using no other metric than the value of our shares.

Absolutely Aquae, I do believe SA when he says we will not need to raise. In fact I can’t believe how much it is being discussed given Stuart made it perfectly clear it’s not needed. For me the timescale of SA pulling this off is more relating to the market sentiment in him and the company and therefore the resulting SP.

Toyin and Aquae, great posts and I agree entirely with both sentiments. Question I have for you is; how long do we expect to wait for a multinational agreement? I don’t expect a deal next week, but the possibility of a deal with a multinational must be realistically strong to throw away good, planned business already on the desk. With this in mind is it fair to expect the deal to be announced in 3-6 months?

I think it’s important to remember that SA is always going to know more than he can tell us. In the interview he said they had negotiated an agreement to licence Axis before rephrasing to we want to negotiate an agreement, and in the same part of the conversation he says if he has anything to do with it he will retain rights to sell the product in our home market. Maybe the deal that is in negotiation currently allows this and that’s why he is getting us ready for this by forming us a cost efficient hub in the U.K.

My point is there is so many irons in the fire that sometimes actions like this may seem strange with only the information we are allowed access to.

Agreed trader. Stuart has made it clear that no placing will be needed to keep the lights on. We know the launch costs for Axis are now done with and he has said the general cash burn is low and we have some small revenues coming in as we speak. The strategies for the near future seem to mostly involve deal making and that doesn’t cost, often bringing up fronts and milestone payments. I think there is plenty going on to get this share price back up towards previous highs and it would be beneficial for the company to see some of these through now before thinking of any product launches that require placings. So I’m happy at the moment after the interview. Not sure how long it’s going to take to work some of these projects through to a point where we will get some positive RNS’s, but we can be certain it will be further back than that market had expected so I expect to float around current SP for the rest of the year and into next year.

Very happy to hold and to answer a question posed the other night, yes I do trust Stuart and the board.

The one thing I would like to mention, and this is not me trying to pick fault, it’s a genuine observation for discussion - if the events regarding the material sales shortfall in March happened as we now know they did, why would SA have even described it as a ‘miss’ and ‘a chunk in his armour’ at the time in the subsequent interviews? Surely, a carefully considered change in direction, or an enhancement to strategy if you will, could not be described as a ‘miss’, even if a side affect of this change is lower numbers during a particular period? As I say, not picking fault, I’m surprised he went in so hard on himself at the time without explaining such a vital detail. He has acknowledged communication breakdowns so in my book it should be forgiven and forgotten.

Really good to hear the matter of fact way he mentioned the own brand anti aging cream, I think there is more to that than meets the eye. I believe Stuart when he says there is so much more going on than Axis and that we are in a dip that he will turn around, assuming by his mention that we have been at 5p that he was talking about the share price.

Bel I disagree that we SBTX investors think half empty all the time. I think the SP action shows we investors think the glass is overflowing until we get the RNS’s, which are half empty!

Rebarm, I would argue there is many points that support my comments about Stuart but to provide a concise answer I think to captain a company which is working on so many revenue streams at once, presenting them in such a coherent and persuasive way and setting up the infrastructure to allow them to become a reality shows my description has some substance. You are totally right to reference the share price in response. I thoroughly hope Stuart can produce substantial revenue from the foundations he has helped to lay because I acknowledge that creative vision and acumen are of zero use if they only exist theoretically. If he starts to produce on the pillars before destroying the SP any further and brings the market cap back upto £100m+ I will acknowledge him as one of the most admirable businessmen I know of. I just get a gut feeling on that, I like him, we all make mistakes. BUT if it all falls down at the point when revenue should be coming in, I.e right now, I couldn’t realistically argue my description to be correct for too much longer. It’s easy to be a dreamer, it’s much harder to make those dreams a reality, but I think he’s much closer than he is further away. So near but yet so far, as the saying goes.

I stand corrected about the second RNS, I must have forgotten that part of the RNS whilst writing my post and it wasn’t helpful. Unfortunately I can’t delete that part, but much of my post still represents feeling. I can see you are trying to help, as always.

The company must take some time to understand that the judgement of PI’s is likely to be clouded when a large chunk of their hard earned is washed away by the results of their work. I concede that the company is guided by the NOMAD and they have their own way of doing things, but it’s a kick in the teeth for them to release an RNS to the market which is ultimately negative following hints that all is on track. I want nothing but a balanced view, and I sincerely hope your interview makes SA answer the questions about why investor value has been crippled since the bright study results and isn’t just half an hour of you discussing with him why investors just don’t understand. The majority of us realise that Stuart Ashman’s vision, creative ability and business acumen are phenomenal and I’m happy to listen about how he his using these skills to the advantage of the company, with great pleasure. However we need the true picture, talk of the big potential wins are misleading if they are not balanced by reflection on the challenges and strategies to overcome them. The only real scorecard here is the share price.

It’s all well and good Stuart mentioning a change of strategy to Elric, what a great idea to pacify investors! But where the hell was that extremely vital piece of information on 29th March?? If that RNS would have said we expect to be below expectations due to a change of strategy for quicker growth and much better medium term returns the SP wouldn’t have plummeted. Furthermore, where the hell was this information this morning when we’re reading another RNS showing back pocket sized revenues for a period we were told revenues had grown 335%? Funnily enough, as harsh as I now sound, I think that strategy sounds like great sense and could see the product worldwide much quicker with much less hassle. But as far as us finding out from Elric and not in the RNS, well SA needs a kick up the proverbial for that. To miss that vital information in March was an error of judgement. To do it again after a 5 month silence is plain stupid. No wonder some investors feel conned. It feels like manipulation against the investors. It’s why TW has to answer the question about is SA a liar. It shows contempt towards us, his biggest supporters. All we want is his success along with the company’s and their actions are not helping.

Again Trader I agree with you. Any money invested into Skins at todays price is probably a good investment. Like others I have averaged down several times and given that it seems like the share price is walking down a flight of stairs I won’t be throwing any good money after bad. This doesn’t currently affect my trust in the company to turn this around into a good investment, but I’ll have to see what the company does next before I can be sure.

I do agree with everything you say TraderBuckie and I do have a long term view of my investment here.

However, all long term investors should still be monitoring their investments and be prepared to change their strategy if it becomes clear that investment is going to underperform. I feel we do need some detail from Stuart, for which an Elrico interview would be perfect. There are lots of investors that have bought in at 40,50,60 and even 70p off the back of the high level of positivity from the company and not only do these people deserve further detail on why the value of their investment has been hit with a wrecking ball, but it is in the company’s best interests to be transparent and to try save the value of the company sliding further in the coming months.

I am a big fan of SBTX, I really am, but that doesn’t mean I will let our management team go unchallenged when we as investors are let down. In March Stuart said he was going to break his back to hit the forecast number, “it’s not if, it’s when.” Proceeding to then post 75k after 8 months given the expenditure is very poor form; I need to hear what he has to say about it before taking a balanced viewpoint and deciding how I feel.

Pleasing news about the oral study, although I think most of us expected a bit more meat on the bone regarding commercialisation opportunities. However I think this has come from commentators rather than the company itself.

The 75k figure is a kick in the gut. It did come from the company that because of the trajectory of sales they believed the £1.2m of sales were achievable up to the end of March. As DiscoDan points out, this represents lower monthly sales than at the two launch months. I know how free months and 2 month subscriptions work so don’t try to patronise me, it IS disappointing. Interesting take that the company is now teeing up for exiting the D2C, probably testament to it being much harder to crack than expected. That’s fair enough, we have to learn and adapt. Let’s hope a deal with a multinational comes off soon so we can get to collecting some reasonable royalties with a tiny cost base.

Great to hear Croda is still on track. We’re certainly going to need some good news there to rescue this years decimation of the share price.

Fundamentals remain the same, strong, full of potential, we were warned by SA it was a couple of years wait to unlock the full value here. I’m jealous folks are getting opportunity to buy in at this point. I was underwater, I expect this to now hold me under for some time. Disappointed but hopeful and I do still believe.

I purchased 437 shares this morning as I realised I was very close to a nice round number of shares. It’s listed as a sell on LSE but it was definitely a buy.

It’s as good a call as any Farris, it has to come one of these weeks soon. 5 months between any kind of business update is unusual for SBTX, I’m sure we’ll get one soon even if just to say ‘everything is on track’.

Elrico I’d love to know more about your research that you describe as a potential nuke however I know this is something I’ll have to bide my time for. I’ve been closely following this company for a few years now and would like to think I have a fairly intimate knowledge of it. The interesting thing about this situation is that I probably couldn’t even guess your ‘nuke’ to the correct pillar. There is that much going on here each with its own run of potential that even an educated guess could be 4 or 5 different things. It’s absolutely why I’m invested here.

I too enjoyed reading the article. Brings it home how much is in the pipe for the company, these sellers must have other things going on to be choosing to sell out right now. I just hope there is enough sensible people willing to hold closer to the end of the year so a falling SP doesn’t become its own reason for selling.

SA has previously said he doesn’t hold on to news, good or bad, otherwise I’d be thinking they’re trying to save up a few good releases to propel us to a more favourable SP. Hopefully a few of the predicted upcoming events will fall in such a fashion.

Dan I think it’s possibly the case that the Axis reference is a genuine bit of journalism rather than one which kicks back to Glamour like the links to retailers for the creams will. I don’t think it’s an opportunity we have missed but I agree it’s a shame the website or packaging isn’t displayed.
