Yes there is certainly a ‘turkey voting for Christmas’ point to be put forward there.

Looking back, one of the things that most attracted me to SBTX when I made my original investment was the simplicity of the ‘technology out, royalties in’ business model.

Licensing out to bigger companies that can muscle into the markets takes us back to that original low overheads model and that can’t be a bad thing.

Excellent on the MediB and CleanB thinking. I’m not sure that there is enough evidence from the company to hang our hats on the theory yet, but do correct me if I’m wrong.

Regarding the own brand product, I don’t think we need to be interested in who markets it and sells it, just interested in it’s existence, the announcement of its existence to the market and the eventual revenue stream that it returns to the company, be it through direct sales or royalties.

I’m now ruminating on the fact that the email about cream was sent out to the Axis subscriber base. It could be a factor in the multinational deal for the Axis pillar. SA did once say he was aiming for a ‘suite’ of products. To me, that means more than just 4 or 5 different variations of Axis powder. That would be like Seabrook saying they make a suite of crisps. Not likely language one would use.

We’re certainly doing some thinking that puts traction behind SA when he says the team are very very busy. I’m getting the feeling the beginning of the Croda production line will bring a flurry of activity our way.

Id like to ask, what makes you believe that the successful final scale up of the lysate by Croda should lead to the conclusion of deals in both the MediBiotix and CleanBiotix pillars?

I may be wrong, but my presumption is that you are suggesting the companies involved are waiting until a reasonable supply of the lysate can commence before playing their hands, is that correct?

If so, that nicely ties in with something I picked up in the last Elric/SA interview, when Elric asked what Geoff Bell was working on. Stuart said the following;

“If you remember that a lot of what Geoff Bell is working on involves the lysate, lactobacillus rhamnoses, that Croda are working on, so we require access to that raw material. Now, we have enough to go on with but we don’t have enough to launch a product and we won’t have until that line is up and running. So a lot of the work he is doing now is exploratory and experimental work on what an own label brand of products might look like, as well as some other work he is doing which is confidential at the moment on other products within that sector.”

When I heard this I thought there was something very powerful said there, which I take as Geoff Bell is in the background teeing up some products, but they won’t be announced or launched until the Croda line is up and running. We know the final scale up should have now taken place, so we would be hoping for that line to be up and running this year.

If Aquae, you are saying that once the supply of the lysate is available, that deals in the Clean and Medi pillars could be revealed, I’d like to add to your point that around that time we should also expect to hear news on the own brand products that SA reserved the right to make as a part of the Croda deal, that GB was employed to make happen and that the company emailed Axis customers about over 2 months ago. I expect the confidential work is shampoo related.

Croda revenues are forthcoming, if our opinions are correct then there is certainly a decent news flow expected which has the potential to put the gas in the tank on our SP. Add in any confirmation on Elrics research and the combination could be explosive. What do you think?

I’ve been weighing it up since I read it. There is a reasonable list of points on both sides of the coin. I could have an argument with myself in an empty room about it at the moment.

Hi Elrico, as you have now posted the link to your latest SBTX piece on here, can it be assumed that you are now happy for us to talk about the content of it openly on the board?

Great insight once again from your daughter. Let’s hope these moderately improved sales for July and August are good enough to have kept the team busy so they can justify not crossing every T. However as you say big punt, there isn’t a great deal of excuse for a company like this not having these things covered off by someone.

The sales to date do call into question the effectiveness of Danielle Becker, who was brought in for her experience on these things. If she is not all over these intricacies, would an independent consultant not have been a better option? I expect the board would ask me to allow time for her advice and work to bring through results, but I know from my own experience with digital marketing that when you hit that sweet spot, results are instantaneous. Those instantaneous results I have experienced were from hiring an independent consultant at a cost of £1,000 per calendar month. I imagine this would be around the remuneration of Danielle.

Well Aquae, certainly a technical piece of insight you have provided there. SBTX has mentioned in both RNS and the journalist interviews that the process of enhancing marketing is an ongoing one, it seems maybe you have clicked on to something they are yet to learn. I would ask you to drop them an email to see if they know this, because I don’t think the company itself is doing to anything to drive customers to Jennifer’s TikTok and therefore not using the logic as explained in your post of using influencers with low engagaement.

P.s if they offer you a job in marketing, take it and find out what Geoff Bell is working on and report back here, the suspense is killing me!

Good spot Mol. She is obviously more of a general influencer rather than a Psoriasis focussed one, which is good for wider exposure of the company and brand. Even though we are likely to get a lower sales per view with an influencer like this, it will help to give the brand credibility and hopefully make it easier to build up sales for future formulations which will appeal to many more people than Psoriasis, such as Acne and Eczema.

I am around 75% confident that every single holder, no matter what price they bought at, even the very top, will see their money back plus returns if they hold long enough. It’s down to the management to provide returns in a reasonable timeframe. No use waiting to get your money back if you could have pulled it at a loss and made more elsewhere. I think our company is very clearly working hard to provide these returns in a reasonable timeframe.

Oleric, how is it ridiculous to say that there is buying from people taking positions? If I was stupid enough to advise friends, which I am not, I’d suggest anything sub-20p is a fantastic buying price for this company. It doesn’t matter if it drops off a bit tomorrow, that’s the nature of this. It will make proper lasting advances if and when the company produces better revenue.

I agree that when this share moves it moves. I’ve seen plenty of 10% rise days in the past few years, along with a couple of 20% days. As Bel correctly says a lot of the stock is held securely. I wish I was getting the chance to start a position at these levels. A soothing day so far, indeed.

Well done for finding the file mol. It looks very general, I think our product would be badged under some Sederma materials. I tried to have a look on the Croda share chat to see if they were discussing anything about todays presentation but it’s just people moaning about their SP. Remind you of anywhere?!!

Good spot bigpunt, unfortunately I’ve just seen your post or could have delayed walking the dog. I’m fairly confident that if we look hard enough we’re more likely to see a hint of information about our product through Croda than we are through our own management at this time, due to the NDA’s and such.

There isn’t a company on the market that has gone straight up in a straight line. Granted, the SP here has totally bombed but SA does acknowledge in his interview that his sole commitment in his job is to protect the interests of shareholders. So he will be very aware we are all sweating a bit and I’m sure is keen to get us back up to a sensible SP. As I keep saying, the only thing that will get us there now is action and results, words will not suffice, so naturally we’re looking at months not weeks. However if SA wants to prove me wrong and pull it out of the bag short term, I’d appreciate it!

You certainly describe the two potential points of view in a polarised way Bel, I think most investors camp somewhere in the middle, some closer to one side than the other.

For me the 15/16p, whilst frustrating, (or even gut wrenching, when I look at the 48p tranche in my ISA!) is just a stop on the journey. We’ve multi-bagged before and we’ll almost certainly multi-bag again. It’s not a great buying opportunity for me because I already have hundreds of thousands of shares, but could be for those without a large position. Nor is the price something I’m panicked about, although again it may be for others that might need the money out and wasn’t ever expecting it to plummet like it has.

Mistakes have been made, there have been miscommunications and misunderstandings. But I think it all comes from a place of everyone trying their best, not from deliberately trying to mislead. The pre-registrations growing at an alarming rate was possibly a bit over enthusiastic, and even though the distribution deals were pulled, I suspect the retail sales of 75k were miles under expectations anyway. BUT if these points are all we have to complain about when the company has so many great prospects and so few staff, then I can certainly live with that for now. We want a flying SP and SA wants a flying SP. This relies on Stuart producing the goods and nothing else, so regardless of what has been said or not said, the next 3-6 months will begin to answer the questions we’re asking with actions, not implications and suspicions. The longer the SP languishes, the more we all naturally slide to the least favourable position. Stuart knows.
