Someone remind me. Who was the person that deliberately planted the seed this would drop to 36p? If that person had such unshakeable belief in his prediction, would be mad to hold - just sell and keep selling, knowing others will panic and follow.

No wonder the shorters have found it so easy to pick up shares from the weak, while our chummy little friend no doubt expects to make a packet profiting on the way down as well as the way up from the mugs he's manipulated.

If you're a long-term holder and have complete faith in the company's growth strategy and fundamentals, why do you care about short-term price drop? You only care if you're greedy and want to make even more money by farting about and day trading.

Of course, I know there are LTHs here lying and selling all their shares going into this drop. Some refuse to believe it, not me, but they could just as easily be caught out by a sudden RNS and ensuing price rise as anyone else - including the shorters.

When times are tough, I'd remind people to click on the 3Y historic chart and laugh.

Then remember that BMN has still not even announced to the markets their massive earnings generation from historically high V prices.

I'm well aware of the difference Endion. It's just phraseology - IMO they're trying stoke fear in order to drive the price down to precipitate and benefit from shorting activity.

Careful Basil, you might get "filtered". Assuming you believe that anyone who is insecure enough to claim to use the filter button actually does so. I have my doubts.

That's not true, after the RNS trio: "Update on Industrial Action", "Resolution of Unprotected Industrial Action" and "Acquisition of Sojitz interest in SMC", SP went from 19p to 31p.

I'd also like to thank the 12 people that voted up my original post. Clearly, I'm not alone in my views.

Of course people can use TA, or any analysis, to anticipate share price movements and buy and sell based on that. What I'm against is people using their considerable leverage to convince other investors to sell in order to profit from it. Therein lies the subtle but important difference.

Ophidian is the only poster persistently pushing EWT and other technical analysis based on shorting principles.

Or selling like he is.

I'm not disagreeing regarding his input, but the two are not mutually exclusive. IMO, you're all being dreadfully naive.

Can't help my posting style and you're entitled to disagree, but more important to me is not having a shorter in our midst manipulating the share price for his own benefit. Granted, he's playing a very clever game.

I think Ophidian needs to keep quiet with his SP predictions. People put a great deal of store in what he posts, so predictions such as "if it falls below 41.4 then we are likely see 36.9" can only encourage selling. Selling that, despite his protestations, he is no doubt partaking in.

As I have said before, if you're into technical analysis and are equally as certain as the falls as much as the rises, why would you NOT sell on the dips? They are an equal opportunity to make money. Why would you go into all the trouble of studying EWT and then not practice it?

This won't come across well, but I don't trust him and neither should anybody. Wolf in sheep's clothing if there ever was one.

Indeed dryland, mug punters have caught the tail end of rises, panicked and sold - evidently following SP re-rates without doing ANY research. Meanwhile, LTHs who have studied BMN inside out have enriched themselves by driving the SP almost 15-fold.

I don't even include myself in that and my average is barely double-digit.

This only gives me more confidence that anyone who buys in now is buying in VERY early stage. There's only one way to make big money in this game, that's by going long on a rare jewel like BMN.

By the way, despite what I said about contracts etc. this is the most ludicrous price drop I've ever seen.

This wording sounds to me like a done deal. What sort of mug punter goes chasing rainbows elsewhere when this bomb is about to drop? Beggars belief.

I believe BE is priced in to the current SP to an extent, but obviously impossible to measure how much exactly. Having said that, considering BV's current profit generation, the SP is still grossly undervalued and the potential is there for it to go stratospheric if BE starts tendering battery/electrolyte contracts.

Superb RNS laying out the future plans for BE. However, until contracts are signed it's all just potential - albeit enormous, life-changing potential.

I am still concerned about Eskom - due to the fact their finances are in a terrible mess, but less concerned than I was yesterday. Just feel that contract could kick start everything, and although everyone says BE is not priced into the SP, I believe it is.

I'm partly invested because of BE's potential, and I'm sure its the same for a lot of other investors.
