I believe it was the Gov (NHS) that applied for Exceptional use of the product, not a random application by a manufacturer. Avacta has never been selected by Gov so has never been submitted for EUA.

Wonder if the Xmas party is postponed due to lack of LFTs.

Something isn't adding up. Best test in the world, building capacity, yet cannot get passed approvals. UK desperate for tests yet apparently do not even know who Avacta are and are so desperate that they will onshore manufacture of Chinese tests.

Something definitely not right somewhere

Gov should be ashamed at the delays at DHSC and forcing UK companies off the market whilst their approvals are reconfirmed under new CTDA terms. No issue with new terms and tightening the requirements, but why force already CE marked tests off the market pending the review (especially when it is clear that DHSC cannot cope with the demand for approvals)

There is only a shortage because of shameful delays in giving approvals and shameful lack of support for UK Diagnostics. Gov is to blame, not Joe public. There is massive UK capacity waiting to go and has been for ages. Shame shame shame.

why oh why oh why are Avacta/medusa19 not singing from the roof tops about Affidx accuracy/specificity and of course CONFIRMED detection of variants including Omicron . They should be building up an awareness in the public, get people to start asking "well where is it" Then we they start saying, The government is delaying it in approval stage.

Awareness = demand = pressure = action......

don't worry, I'm sure our wonderful government will ensure that we have a few billion more Chinese product onshore before long.

How is it that this is illegal and results in Jail (all be it Australia)
And Shorting be legal, i.e selling shares that you do not own, expressly for the purpose of forcing the price down so that you can buy back cheaper and profit.
It is all blatant market manipulation. The difference is too much BIG money profits from shorting

Maybe it benefits us all if the sales figures are really really bad. Once figures are on record the price could tank further.
