I'm sorry to hear about your first born son Doozer. Just an impossible place to put my head in. I get a sense that many of us are of an age where we have lost parents, and sadly (as in my case) cancer rears it's ugly head and is an awful thing to witness. Therapies and possible cures progress but there is a whole heap of carp that comes with cancer. Find the moments you can enjoy in whatever circumstance you're in is the best advice I can give. Both a rich man and a poor man can find a spot of solace gazing over the sea or finding that moment in nature

So what MH01? You know that's how it works so you could have made profit off those sentiments alone. Invest for profit and nothing else! I happen to think the plays here may come good but it's a smallish investment that if I had put in what I had in the other investment you and share I would already have made my exit. But I am curious about the curiosity. Culpepper did the same. Not invested here but he followed GGP holders over to offer us his best advice thatvwe would be burnt. I haven't. It's gone up close to 300% since his 'intervention'. It's the timing of the exit that matters though not so much when in profit... which I'm not currently in GGP! It is more risky for those getting in late but not if things really do come off. It's not just the gold like I said before

Also a GGP holder here. It's been an learning curve there certainly but the knowledge and experience gained there makes me a wiser investor here. I've not stumped up my life savings on this stock but I certainly considered it worthy of a stake. Some on the GGP board cautioned investors over buying here. Well currently I'm on 250% profit having bought at 0.08p. My eyes are open to the fact that others on similar profit may choose to take those profits and drop the SP. For me I have a cushion that allows a higher stake. It's a gamble, and I don't necessarily subscribe to the more optimistic posters views that this will be bigger than Hav, but regardless, whether the rise is on hype or on fundamentals it doesn't really matter. There is profit here. As it stands I could walk away now and be very happy but the fact that this is more than a gold play, that it does involve Callum Baxter and there is an outside chance of many, many multiples by getting on the journey early attracts me. I doubt I can lose much but I can gain a lot.

I too am enjoying respectful debate/discussion. It's how it should be. For the record, regardless of my opinion on the prospects for short term holders and how I believe things could have been done differently, I've the utmost respect for Bamps and have indeed fought his corner over sniping that pops up from certain individuals out of the blue. I don't have any expertise regarding the discussions Malva and Bamps are having but I can read with interest and and appreciation.

Doozer, I agree to an extent but I think at the time he could have been a bit more evasive (I know that sounds an odd thing to say), but on the aquifer and decline resumption I was left feeling we were nearly there. I do think the deal is brilliant, but I also think long standing PI's were sold a bit short with the share offer being cut so low. I missed out on the offer entirely due to the need to shift funds that required a settlement period and due to incompetence from my ISA provider. The latter is not SD's fault but there was a very compressed timescale for some off us to try and mitigate the losses that we have (at least short term) by the raise. I hope the coming bits of news about Telfer productivity, etc, etc will make that history, but I would not be true to myself if I didn't think we might have been offered a slightly better cut of the offer

There's a hell of a lot of noise going on and I'm not sure anyone is particularly cutting through. It's all a bit "meh". I'm too invested in the fundamentals here to walk away but I wouldn't say emotionally so. I need to see the shape of things in the next 6-9 months. I don't think I'll see a loss but I'm sympathetic to those who have the balls to say their shorter term envisaged gains have been kicked further down the road and the multiples required to make those gains are now greater than ever. This is a rare one for me but Freddie has a point on the aquifer. No one has ever really answered it as far as I can see. Regardless as to whether Havieron is now several years off production because it's all about Telfer and what we can eek out of it, we were kept in the dark to a certain extent about the aquifer and therefore the decline. I get why. But we were mislead when the truth was known about the ponds and about Newcrest etc. We were led to believe we were on an expedited route to the ore body when in fact those were just words to stop a panic during a critical period of dealmaking. It's an unpopular view given I still back the project and the team but some of the polarised arguments being presented here to my mind are either way too glowing or at the other extreme far to pessimistic (that's discarding the 90% of what is posts currently on this board which are just frivolous and childish). Constantly being told by more knowledgeable minds that this and that is going on but few are mentioning that their 30p, 40p, 50p or 88p dreams are actually now for their kids if they have them. I'm told there would be no sell off following the raise, I'm told 100% will be a good return and yet no one previously said 14p would be shooting for the stars. A few, just a few speak truthfully about their concerns whilst rooting for the best.

James I'm grateful for the 60% two year profit I've had on a tech fund but each investment is different. I haven't heard anyone talking of GGP as a two-bagger. It's always as a 4, 5 or even 10 bagger. The dynamics have changed and I have no doubt it will certainly multi bag in time. I may still get to my target price in 12 to 18 months, time will tell. I get that anything bringing returns higher than inflation is still a semi-worthwhile investment but my stakes got very high in this mainly due to loading up more to average down. I've been in profit twice, first at 12p then at 9p as I've averaged down. Almost got there yesterday at 7.3 but not quite. Bobbing up and down on the water catching breath each time I come to surface. I say again I've not heard anyone on here regard a 2 bag here as their envisaged outcome. I don't mean that to sound greedy.

15p only gives me 100% profit but I guess I will take it. That's a lot of risk ridden these past few years for that though. I've made120% profit in two weeks on a certain stock people were saying is too risky. That said, it is risky and I wouldn't have chanced the level of holding I have here. I too hope a lot of this is not priced in and especially when ASX lands I hope the catalysts finally build and take off. No one seems able to call this in price or timeline yet. I was hoping the white knuckle ride days were over really.

I'm close to break even again so that's not a bad lift. I suppose there will likely be some kind of pull back on the 1st (the uplift may have made it more likely for some short-termers to sell - but I hope not to the extent some antcipate). Some will try to turn quick profits I expect and even jump back in, but once that has settled I can't forsee retraces like we've had in the past. When we hit 9 last time I thought we had seen the back of big drops but a lot has happened since then. I'm ready I guess for anything, but more sure than ever that my outlay is safer than it's ever been. Lots of reveals to come that could catapult this much higher even before ASX. I hope that's the case. Even on a medium term basis I'm happy to stump up for bigger gains. Without revealing what I hold it goes without saying that there's less profit in 10 bagging from £10k than 3 bagging at £100k (or whatever multiples you chose to use). I've taken the invest more to average down route and whilst risky on a fragile stock, this isn't that in my view.

Read the notes now. Sounds like Newcrest were cowboys in relation to the ponds and the tailings dam issues and we are well clear of them. I raised concerns about some of their environmental failings not long after I joined this board but of course I was seen as a de-ramper at the time.

Your input is appreciated Hopefullygold. It's good to know that there are likely to be a great many at Telfer regarding their jobs as secure for the long term. I've always been a believer in safety first Bamps. I also think a lot of emphasis must be put on maintaining environmental protections because it is going to be important for this modern company and the hugely important relationships with government and community. As for holding my breath. I hope I can. Early retirement beckons on health grounds and the acceleration of those grounds is ever present. But that was my risk and the muliplicity of factors that may eventually work well for a dividend generation may not work out quite so well for me. That doesn't make it a bad investment, even for my timescale.

I hear that GGPThruandtru. I am constantly having to tell myself my own timescale is now different (though not ideally so for my circumstances). Whilst that is something to look forward to I just think some reassurance on the pathway to the top of the ore body would be welcome. Lassonde and all that

I'm somewhere in between on Hav. I don't think SD warrants the criticism that some have put forward, however he did sell us the optimised route through the LCA not that long ago when in truth he probably knew the it was going to be delayed. He was keeping us on board and not wanting to frighten the markets maybe - which I get. I also understand the reasoning about producing from Telfer and progressing Hav with income from there, but I say again that the whole buzz of GGP was about Hav, so I hope we get a bit more news about how we will proceed as per Bamps post earlier on the evaporation ponds. Also are there an implications from the contamination that need to be resolved? I would like to hear more assurances and positivity about Hav as this is where the rocket fuel kicks in. It would be nice if us LTH's could benefit from really strong news about all this before ASX occurs imo. I accept that getting Telfer producing following successful dam repair and the deal getting signed off comes first

Culpepper you've done it again. For the brief period you were back in with your £5k profit you were conciliatory and pretty benign. Now you are out, out of the blue and totally unprovoked you take a pop at Bamps and then Liam. Really snarky. I noticed too that yesterday you popped over to GBP - no doubt because you heard a few GGP folk had bought in a small stake. You are a truly embittered individual who seems to hold everyone but yourself responsible for your past failings.

Now I've not enjoyed the SP drop and I was screwed over by my ISA provider so I missed out on both the trade price and the first two days of a low SP. I'm not happy with that but I don't blame anyone on here. I bought mire to continue to lower my average and I've had to revise the length I'm likely to hold. You really are a Jekyll and Hyde aren't you? I suspect there's some self-loathing there too but that it between you and yourself. Own our wins own your losses and stop being so spoilt. I'll no doubt get stick for raising you name on here but you really are beyond the pale.
