This morning my gut instinct was to sell half my holding as I felt we were due a drop and could then buy back in lower. Even though I didn't I'm not too bothered. Everything really is lining up here. The BB shorters and derampers have more or less disappeared and we're primed for some large deals with the UK government and France in due course now.

It shouldn't be too long til this is fully reflected in the share price. GLA.

From my calculations the mcap last year was ~3.1b and the dividend yield was 4% - that makes £121 million in dividends.

Sounds a bit more realistic to me...

I agree. For long term holders it doesn't make much difference now but for those sitting on the sidelines you can probably wait it out and get an even better entry...

I do agree with you re the death of cinema. I think it's actually the streaming services that are going to get squeezed as competition grows ever more fierce but cinema is a whole different medium.

Surely if we get a tender from the government anywhere remotely close to our mcap this is re-rating? I don't think £100m for 800k tests a week for six months is out of the question by any stretch of the imagination. Still 7 million capacity to sell elsewhere too.

Share prices don't go up in a straight line but for the past five weeks novacyt has done its best to disprove the rule!

LOOK cineworld won't return to pre-coronavirus levels for some time, probably years. It's share price before all this stood on average around £2.20 a share. That is over six times the current share price.

This will wake people up to the joys of cinema. Most people would argue a world where we sit at home all day in our pyjamas rather than going out and enjoying film the way it's meant to be (surround sound, 115 inch screen) is a worse world.

Cinema has been with us since the 1910s and this pandemic isn't going to be its demise.

Absolutely, but if like me you see the odds of bankruptcy as low, the risk/reward is significantly good from here.

Annoyingly I bought in at 47p earlier in the week and have now doubled down at 37.5p. Sure it might go lower but I think it has much more chance of hitting 80p in the next few months than 0 and so for me this is a risk worth taking...

The make or break question in April/May time was just how many months would novacyt generate extraordinary revenue and profits before things settle down and resort back to normal somewhat or other players steal their market share??? Back then most of us expected tests to still be selling into the winter but I personally thought we might get outmuscled by other companies...

But that's the same for all of these small diagnostics and biotechs. The fact that covid is driving the share price right now to me makes it primarily a covid stock. However realistically this is just semantics. They now have the funds to build the product range and become far more than just a one trick pony - a world leading international diagnostics company.

I think it's fair to say that right now we are 'primarily' a covid stock. But we are a leading player in a multi multi billion dollar market and have an mcap of £220m. The upside is ENORMOUS.

Where will cineworld be in twelve months time? That's too hard to call.

But you can bet your bottom dollar they'll be a bounce back to at least 80p before the autumn is over and you can cash out if you so desire.

I believe the collapse of Intu (and others that follow) is going to put severe pressure on debt-laden companies. Any whiff of bankruptcy and the shorters will sniff blood and attack.

Those that are able to survive will see massive, massive returns...

There were a number of MF articles earlier in the year warning people against investing in synairgen. There is never much research put into covering covid stocks (you know what I mean) on there so I've learnt to take what's written with a pinch of salt.
