It didn't sound like they had many enrolled in the home trial as of last Monday. I imagine there still wouldn't be enough data to be useful as of now.

We know that in this phase 2 patients from the treatment group and placebo group were matched as closely as possible, meaning that there were the same number of co morbidities for each. We also know that there were more diabetes and cardiovascular related issues in the control group...

Now there are a number of risk factors that will have been included but it is likely that those with a severe lung condition will have made up a significant fraction. And that also means that it is highly likely there were far more COPD and asthma sufferers in the treatment group.

Seeing as the results were so conclusive and the likelihood is that the treatment group contained a decent number of COPD and lung related illnesses, this does give me optimism that the next set of results could be just as striking.

Ghia, I was the one questioning whether it was really worth being in prior to the readout and instead might be better to be waiting on the sidelines in anticipation of COPD results (which we were expecting first). I think it was you that said you'd prefer to be in as a rerate will likely occur if good results. As it happens both were arguably accurate as the market opened around 180% up I think but then rose another 100%. I was lucky to get in at 95p with the extra money I had taken out the week before, so i felt sort of vindicated!

Agreed wetdream. It's nice to see a decent and popular youtuber promoting synairgen, explaining it to the layman and singing its praises. But some of the posts have been a little rampy.

Nolupus is probably one of only a handful of individuals who were in pre results and actually upped their investment since rather than taking profits. As the regular members slowly disappeared from this board (most notably ShareSting who seems to have moved profits to 4d pharma) it's been helpful to hear of your contrarian strategy. I think I'd have banked a lot more profit than I have otherwise.

It's worth remembering that before our contract with DHSC we felt the share price was undervalued based on our distribution links with every major nation of the world and our partnership with the World Health Organisation. Now it's looking like our activity within the UK is going to be the major revenue generator with the sales to the ROW both directly and through the WHO as playing second fiddle. Win/win.

Most importantly to me is the clear signal that novacyt now has very close ties with the government at a time in which randox has fallen out of favour. As CCK said this is just one piece of the puzzle.

I get that traders tend to sell up before close of business as a general rule, but I don't get why they do when there's news that almost certainly guarantees a stock opening up higher the following morn once news is digested?
