Usain if you'd like me to clarify I think it's fair to say that relatively speaking, companies like Aviva, L&G, NEX are safe investments. Probably be looking at 20% returns in a year, which obviously is nothing compared to the potential here.

I think we might have to agree that there's a number of ways that this could be interpreted.

What's interesting to me is in April novacyt signed a deal with the Department for Health for 288k tests a week for an initial six month period. That's 288000 x 26 weeks = 7.488 million tests. Now by my calculations we were largely charging about a fiver a test but seeing as that says £75m it's very possible that that is what it's referring to (and the three years is just what we are able to extend to) and that we charge a tenner a test...

If I've calculated this correctly that's the tender for 6 months or 26 weeks. 288k tests a week = £10 a test...

Is this correct? If so the potential here is twice what I thought it was!

If that's the case we can easily extrapolate the price per test...

I've got to admit I'm mighty relieved. It's not everyday the share you hold rises 420% and so today was always going to be unpredictable. In the end I've had to be sensible and sell some of my shares but having been through the peaks and troughs and the highs and lows of the last three months I'm more than happy to ride out another month to see where this ends up!

I can guarantee you that a number of people on this board had at least £50k on sng pre results and made 5 times that yesterday.

I had over £10k on sng pre results and my entire portfolio was just under £40k. Now it's not far off £100k!
