As far as president's go he is. He is incomparable to any that have ever come before and that's not hyperbole. Incomparable.
I don't think you could work your way up the political ladder and get to president without a lot of nous. But he didn't do it this way. He inherited a lot of money. He was the face of an enormous brand/real estate empire before throwing his weight around in the showbiz world.

I like to work backwards.

To lose a lot of money from here it would take a number of pretty bad outcomes to occur. No large tender deal with the UK government, no deal with the french government (new 2 gene test Sept), no further inroads in the US, sales growth halted. Or a 90% effective vaccine, this side of christmas, that the world suddenly decides they are all comfortable taking (75% uptake at least anyway).

I'm happy with my investment still.

VanV I think troublesome's comment is fair. I got up early and although obviously not stupid enough to assume you really had insider info, was rather disappointed when there was no news...

But don't get me wrong, I, like the rest on here, really appreciate your contributions. You're one of the best posters without doubt. Just perhaps, don't lead us gullibles on so next time!

It's easy to see who the gamblers are... a couple of decent days for the ftse and they can't resist selling out here for the beaten up ftse stocks instead.

It's also pretty much luck. You can play around switching your money from share to share as soon as there's a bit of action but you'll miss out on the bigger rewards you'd been waiting weeks for.

If you're invested here but want to trade other shares leave a bit of cash in your account rather than giving money away to brokers each time you buy in and out...

I used to be very wary of shorted companies but not anymore. I really don't think it tells us very much... but does explain the slight drop.

That is really outrageous pale-rider. As it happens that isn't his twitter profile, that was made just to ridicule him and have a laugh at his expense. I admit that I remember joining in this sort of bullying at school, but fortunately as an adult I'm above that now.

Org, on some points I agree with you. In terms of mortality I see no evidence to suggest Sars Cov 2 is any worse for you than the flu. If you imagine what would happen every winter if there was no flu jab you'd quickly realise that the comparisons between the flu and covid are fair. However from a more general long-term health perspective, it does seem that covid causes more complications than influenza.

I don't agree with your first point though, quite the opposite. This virus is meant to thrive around 2 degrees celsius. I think what's happening in the likes of Florida, California, Brazil, India (to name the ones you named) shows you that once the virus has a grip, EVEN in hot climates it has the ability to spread with ease. I take that as being a worrying and inauspicious sign that what we're seeing now could pale in comparison to what could be around the corner...

CityTTrader where are you getting your info from? Are you trying to suggest that the US have seen 3 million new cases in the last 7-8 days? That's simply false. I believe they are seeing about 60k new infections a day which over a week averages out to be close to half a million, not 3 million...

I meant COPD results within three weeks... It's highly likely we'll have some sort of update next week.

There is so much news on the horizon, why would it pull back now? The peer review is almost certainly within two weeks and the COPD results in three weeks.

If it was going to fall due to a lack of news it would have been this week, but we're actually 10% up this week.
