Such whataboutery Indy, how on earth do you take my comment and assume that I give China a pass for all those things you mentioned? You highlight serious issues that are gravely depressing and need addressing. I do not fawn over China or think Donald Trump is the baddie. China has a disgraceful human rights record and if you really believe Trump is doing this in order to see China change for the better then that's all very good. If Trump had the inclination or ability to talk about these issues in the way you have then there wouldn't be a problem... he doesn't, he is race-baiting for attention and nothing more.

Sure Trump likes winding people up with his 'China Virus' but to see the press sec joining in too is so depressing.

Ghia, spot on. I only started investing 9 months before the pandemic and I'm up over 250%. There's been a few moments where the thought popped into my head but I know it's only a combination of timing the market crash and synairgen that has given me such good returns. I'm trying to make all I can whilst the markets are depressed but this is a once in a lifetime thing and it's impossible to predict what's going to happen over the next 12 months.

Don't forget most of those people hashtagging boycott boohoo probably continued shopping on Pretty Little Thing, Nasty Gal, Karen Millen etc etc. That's a major difference with boohoo and asos...

It seems to me like these simple things you are still trying to learn should perhaps be understood first before you give up your business and fully commit? It seems a bit reckless but I suppose if you had enough in the bank you could make a living just tracking the ftse (theoretically).

The question for holders here is how long will demand for testing remain at this level? The answer is clearly at least 6 months but beyond that is impossible to predict right now.

@ ALGY7 Sorry to be pedantic but I'm pretty certain he's not one of the wealthiest people in the world. He's a rich Private UK investor but he's not a billionaire as far as I'm aware. I imagine the one million he's top sliced isn't negligible.

@jaycob I completely understand where you're coming from but in this instance it really isn't bad news. Obviously if he sold none or actually added to his holding it would be very bullish but he's just likely rebalancing his portfolio slightly. As much as we might think so at times there isn't such thing as a sure thing in investing but he's at least shown confidence in holding as much as he is still...

I believe he's reduced his holding but need confirmation of that...

Kaeren, I think there's a whole host of us on here in the same boat. Will be bricking it next week but plenty of reasons to be optimistic.

My last thread (Short Increased) is too pessimistic, let's change it to something more upbeat.

@mikesilver I really hope we haven't merely extended. We are supplying 288k tests a week when the new government target is something like 500k a day. Add to that the problems with randox and others and I'd have hoped any new deal would be at least double what it was before...

I'd like to make it clear I'm not moaning about the company or entitled enough to think they owe me anything. I'm merely highlighting that it is possible that things aren't as rosy behind the scenes as everyone on here assumes. Let's be honest, if sales were poor this month it wouldn't be in their interest to update the market and seeing as they don't have to... that could be the reason...

I'm hoping the reason is the opposite and they're just too god-damn busy to keep throwing us breadcrumbs.

So can someone explain to me why it would make any difference? If say we had a bumper July then a sales update would give the sp a leg up ready for more news just before mid Sept (if that is really what he's doing). Leaving news to the last minute would give less time for the sp to build and build and peak when he supposedly needs it to....

Why is it an artificially low price? We have absolutely no confirmation of a continuing revenue stream into the winter as of yet. So far what we have confirmed is around £120m of revenue for the half year which is enough to keep the sp stable at around £200m mcap.

It's been obvious for a while that we won't make a significant move north until we have a clear outlook for the next 12-18 months. That means contracts, proof we can sell at maximum capacity etc

Personally that's what I want to believe but there's still the chance that there isn't anything materially significant enough to rns. I'm still confident and no news does't equal bad news but it's not ideal either - we'd all have loved a big UK tender.

Is it fair to say we simply have no idea what sales figures are going to look like come the end of the year??? A few months ago sales were far more simplified, generally speaking looking at 10 million sales a month times some average price (say a fiver).

Now we've got all these potential revenue streams of which some might turn out to be significant sales-wise and some in the grand scheme of things might turn out to be somewhat irrelevant...

I'm still holding as even forgetting about airport testing, machine sales, multiplex tests etc etc if the company can sell close to 10 million tests a month worldwide the revenue/profits are going to be seismic.

I've got to admit Bugerov I do agree with you. If anything I've been surprised with how open this bb has been to Bungle and Dylan's exploits. Not because I found it annoying or tedious but simply because internet forums (especially specific ones like this) are always going to have jerks and keyboard warriors who can't help but voice their negativity.

You've announced your departure previously and then came back so hopefully you see it's an overreaction and come back once again!
