No, it's not how the stock market works. The stock market is forward looking so it's possible the decline over the past few weeks was due to that whereas now the sp is starting to reverse.

The longer without contract news the more reasonable it is to be just a tad concerned. There have been many strong indicators recently but they do need to culminate in some sort of news soon.

This is what I imagine we're all hoping happens to cineworld... I'm expecting a short exodus very soon.

And if you do sell your shares please please don't feel the need to advertise it on here, no one cares.

I don't particularly agree on this front. I know our phase II results were excellent but for now this should be left to the company and the scientists/regulatory bodies to do what they need to do, we don't need our government cheerleading like Trump has done with hydroxychloroquine.

Anyhow I'm sure as investors we are biased, there must be other companies that are feeling the same way...

I think this response re the rapid test was a direct answer to Jon Ashworth's question about rapid POC tests. It does look like he was referring to DNA Nudge but those tests will be in no way exhaustive. There's enough signs to suggest a big announcement is due for us, fingers crossed it happens this week and we can all relax somewhat...

Yeah, two out of the three declared shorters closed their short, one being a large 2.27%... should have seen a bit of an uplift I'd have thought.

Despite it being so long now since those results on Monday 20th July there really hasn't been any significant covid developments since then and so the stage is set so perfectly for the mother of all rns's. The media is starved right now, can you just imagine what would happen if the news we are all hoping for lands this week? Those annoying fireworks and rocket memes on twitter will not do it justice!

This board has got pretty quiet and the nasties seem to have gone, it's nice to have some decorum and civility back again.

If you look at the way the company communicated prior to the hospital results, it was very often directly through Richard's interviews. Then we had the couple of days after results where Richard toured the studios and shared his and the company's intent... then silence.

That tells me he's not in a position to signpost what's going on now... In other words **** is getting real.

I like to think of that Rolls Royce quote as being more about the fact that the stock market reflects what happens in the real world and the person that rides the subway lives in that real world more than wealthy wall street bankers...

The whole sector is struggling and imo unduly. Also take a look at Go-Ahead, down around 70% since February and expecting a big bounce soon.

I've noticed today a lot of interest in NEX from those wondering where to put their sage/cineworld/whatever else they've made gains from. Although it's impossible to know if this has much further to fall, it is definitely an absolute bargain at 120p.

Sure but every one of those broker forecasts were made from mid August - late August, they are hardly stale forecasts.

Also the oversubscribed placing at 230p should give you an indication of the first target to reach once sentiment shifts...

If it was trading at £4 in late June there's every chance the £5 barrier is smashed on Sept results. Boohoo saw a 45% increase in sales between March - end of May, three months in which buying clothes was seen as profligate and a bit selfish in a sense (giving more work to staff risking their lives). Sure the high street has opened up but no one is really going there... this next three months is where the proper shift to online will be seen.

It's becoming clear to me that this virus is not going to bring economies to a halt again. Large swathes of the country are either sceptical about the pandemic or feel the risk isn't high enough to vastly alter their day to day lives or crash the economy. What this means is cases are going to surge significantly and nations are going to attempt to run (somewhat) as normal whilst the nhs works over time alongside to try and manage it.

The only way for the economies to continue functioning through this time is a proper testing regime in place and therapeutics to manage those who test positive. Once this realisation kicks in more and more money will injected into testing.
