Never see those things, thank the Lord!
I'm no expert but also on FireFox and use DuckDuckGo and Ublock and let them take care of things for me.
Click on the the FF icon in the top right hand corner of your screen - it looks like 3 short parallel lines next to the 'jig-saw piece'- and ferret around in the 'Extensions'.
Good luck. If you still have problems, sure someone else can help.
The D Telegraph has a report:
https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2023/06/15/navy-two-aircraft-carriers-soon-have-no-way-to-refuel-them/
Though behind a paywall, the gist is obvious.
Looking at Wikipedia, Argus has a very 'interesting' history and has been around for over 40 years already. It has had previous work carried out at HARL.
Might be symptomatic of a lot of things but let's hope HARL can turn it around again and earn further experience and cash.
I also took the hint and was about to buy more but saw the RNS as it came in.
Selflessly, I took one for our PI team and delayed buying while I alerted you all!
Now too expensive for me but sure some kind soul will give me a few? Or a whip round among our team? :-)
Many thanks Icecool
"Actually did the research for everyone because I know folk can’t be bothered half the time"
I suspect you are too kind/overly diplomatic with that statement.
Many on here (including myself) wouldn't have a clue on where to start such research, or how to interpret it.
Though we do believe in AVACTA, we really depend on you and the others who fully comprehend such things. GLA.
Hi, I'm using latest FireFox and tried Chris' link (just clicked on it, no pasting) purely as an experiment. Just my name was the only formality. I guessed at a couple of things and voila!
Very, very easy to join the proceedings, good bright video and fairly clear sound (can't say that it will last, of course) but great for now!
GLA - and let's hope for a decent share price soon.
Signed.
Would be good if someone more literate posted the message across other boards as the same complaints about the 'system' are often heard on those.
Even better if LSE stood with us and and put it on the masthead each day!
Bit late to express clear points but probably no chance tomorrow.
It seems to be that it can be very expensive to register a vote. One of the share dealers that I buy through charge £20 for each vote. Most of my shares are held in an ISA and a Nominee Account, so I could need 2 votes totalling £40.
I understand that Dealers need to make a profit but the cost of voting should be built in, somehow.
The subject is very important, GLA.
From this evening's "The Telegraph";
'Britain’s new warships to be partly built in Poland'
It probably isn't the full story but don't hold your breath waiting for any overspill work on the Type 31s.
If the strikes really get going, a good chunk of the future projects could finish up going to Poland (and elsewhere). The UK has a history of walk-outs ruining yards and factories.
From The Daily Telegraph this eve:
Floating gas terminals are to be anchored off Britain's coast under plans being worked on to boost energy security.
Government officials say they are working to support firms who want to install the vessels in the UK, as part of efforts to avoid a repeat of this winter’s energy crisis.
It would bolster the UK’s capacity to import from around the world, potentially making it less exposed to gas market shocks as domestic supplies fall.
Officials said that a “small number” of commercial firms were developing plans to set up floating terminals to turn liquified natural gas (LNG), sent to the UK on ships, back into gaseous form to pipe into the gas network.
They said officials were “working with these parties to support these developments” which could “further increase the resilience of the UK’s gas importation capability”.
They added: “[Floating terminals] can be quickly linked to the UK gas network without the need for extensive new infrastructure; and can be readily re-deployed to other markets should the UK no longer require the additional capability in the future.”
