Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
They say that only logic should govern share dealings, never sentiment. I broke that rule in the case of RMM - and I'm sure many others on here did, too.
Never again!
I really did feel confident about the prospects for the company for quite a while but that confidence gradually evaporated as time went by and we watched the sheer ineptitude of the 'CFO' and the deceptions of the BoD.
Luckily, I got out with just the cuff of my shirt ripped off! I managed to hang on to most of it - though it was pretty valueless and threadbare by then!
I encountered many characters on this BB and was always grateful for advice from the likes of Cornish etc; I hope that none of you are in real trouble due to believing in these lying bastds on the BoD.
Perhaps we should form a RMM survivors club and meet annually in a phone box somewhere? Maybe our old friend Moon with his sagacious advice and punditry could organise and chair it? GLA.
Thanks CT; I've been sitting here thinking and remembering his many knindnesses to me and the rotten way way he had to die. I'm sure that many on here have experienced similar cases - or even worse.
While it seems quiet, I would like to break the multi-topic rule a little. My family of 7 once thought that we seemed immune to the big 'C'; then it started!
2 cases of breast cancer; 1 of leukaemia; 1 Non-Hodgkins; 1 colo-rectal. Only 2 of us have avoided cancer - so far.
I once worked on an anti-FGM campaign and became unhappy at the use of the initials to gloss over the barbaric act itself. I used to make people stress the term, "Female Genital Mutilation" instead (believe me, that phrase better describes the act). I -as a male - was shocked at how openly females would talk about it with me. They wanted the facts out in the open, not hidden away.
The 6 letter word 'cancer' trips off the tongue very easily and glibly - especially as used by some of the sophists and cavillers on this and similar boards. They really need to remember the pain, heartbreak and misery the word really represents. Not to mention the costs and tied-up medical resources.

As far as my family was concerned, these side effects were very real in the case of a brother-in-law.
He had suffered from cancer for many years but bore it with fortitude and good grace. He was at home for most of the time and had a continual stream of well-wishers. He was the 'Godfather' in the area and often called upon for help and advice. Quite wealthy he was most generous.
I don't know the ins and outs of the medical side but I do know that all went comparatively well - until they put him on steroids by mouth.
His dying from mestatised prostate cancer at home went from a peaceful passing to near-violent confrontations in hospital.
His weight ballooned up to the extent that he had to be lifted by a special 'crane' several times a day. He became ravenous and accused all of stealing his food. He roundly cursed and flailed at hospital staff and family to the extent that no one wanted to go near him.
His doctors put the changes down to the prescribed steroids, If so, very unpleasant side effects that are still talked about among us all.
Labour is promising 2 years in jail for misuse of personal pronouns but that is in the future - if ever. So, until then at least, we can call people by any pronoun.
I'm not a dedicated follower of this BB but do spend some time on here. I might well be wrong but I haven't seen any proof that 'Consuela' is actually female (I am minded of 'Family Guy' though).
So, why use 'SHE' in posts? Much more appropriate to use 'IT'.
PS - maybe in IT's obsession with IM, 'Covens', rather than 'Caverns', might be more apt if IT really is female.
Just heard that about 4 hours of posts from yesterday pm got pulled.
Someone with a big mouth perhaps has very thin skin?
It seems that a bunch of us are for the big slipper and detention:-(
GLA on the luckiest and most interesting BB!
Cor, this BB started off so positive earlier with a prospect of good news, then it seemed to go downhill.
What happened? Did I miss a memo that the theme for today would be Nihilism (look that up if you don't know what it means!)?
What a miserable bunch of Fudders (oed version of spelling)!
If you can't beat 'em, join 'em. We will never get the projected billions, some thieving bustards will divert them to themselves!
I had registered to listen to the Meeting but forgot about it (for the first time, ever).
So, I rushed to this board expecting to find lots of philosphical and financial debate after the meetings but found almost nothing!
Have we been censored - or just lost interest? Have we heard the shareholder's version of "Wolf" too often by now?
There's a good chance that many of us are already 'household names' (for some unknowns in the shadows) by holding from about 37p down to around 6p.
Not sure that I want that on my epitaph.
Is this thread ignoring the latest events?
"It’s also in Northern Ireland just outside Larne and will probably be filled from the UK interconnector. Why would the UK give any [gas] to Ireland?? "
We might think that but it looks like the governments have agreed otherewise!

It looks like the Republic will get gas and power from us come what may - even our 'pain sharing' if!
I thought long and hard about the position but no mention of Business Account Lunches - or even Luncheon vouchers - put me off.
Shepherds Bush is a bit of a wasteland but last time I was there, it was possible to buy single boiled potatoes in some of the shops on the Green for under a pound.
For the gourmets, there is a Maccy Ds and a K Fried Sparrow.
"UK is lagging behind other countries when it comes to hydrogen progress."
Why not? I would hate for them to spoil a 100% record for ineptitude and incompetence.
To think that I voted for these....... And they had an eighty seat majority at the outset!
