Funny that, I was with them in 74 and left in 75 - not for Canvey, though!
I spent some of that time in HS Grove and used to lunch on the world's best sausage sandwiches cooked by 2 old dears in a tin shack in the car park! Council would never allow that these days!
Thanks Bamps. As I said, it was a long shot as I could have misunderstood your post and he died about 1980. He bought Mr GW out in around 1919 and built the company up to what it became before it was run down and merged.
He was a real gent and would have detested some of the business practices - like the sale of leases - that TW followed.
He set up a trust in the fifties that still dishes out around £20 million pa to good causes.
Sorry OT but quiet today and a 'good cause'.
I can't take risks. I'm out - and not likely to buy in ANGS again, ever. I'm down a few hundred pounds and am sorry for all who have lost.
Difficult to understand how we allowed this bunch of snake oil sellers to take us all in. I was really looking forward to some success. A week or so, I joked about 'There will be Blood' which was set in the Wild West. No joking now and this BoD seems to consist of The Wild Bunch on the Wild West of AIM!
Nice to have chatted and learned from Push and all. I hope that you will all be OK.
I hope you can all read between the lines and work out what I would really like to say (then double it!). GLA.
Trolls don't bother to come on here, they know they can't compete with PHE itself when it come to deramping.
I've never seen such a masochistic (not to mention incompetent) company as this.
GLA and have a Merry Christmas and a Prosperous New Year (but not in PHE, I'll bet!).
Generally, I'm not too excited by Elwood but he does raise some valid and important points.
I'm surprised that he didn't ask where the many thousands of tons of steel for the ships would come from? That needs pinning down but I doubt it will be, Spanish steel will be much cheaper (and more available) than ours.
Note where the rails for HS2 and for some military projects comes from (a clue; it isn't here!).
The link below seems somewhat relevant and of interest, even if not exactly the same as the work of AVCT. I'm sure someone on the BB can tell us more.
Certainly sounds good for suffering children.

Some years since I saw the film so my memories might be imperfect but every time Push writes, I have a mental image of him covered in filth and struggling to fill buckets with oil at the bottom of a hand-dug hole.
The only 'slugging' then meant punching a competitor in a brawl over land or materials!
The industry has moved on out of all recognition over the last 150 years, or so. Listening to Push these days shows just how technological and complex it has become.
I know a bit about the actual mechanics of (very comparatively shallow) drilling for water. I never dreamt that actually developing a petroleum well was so complicated and that actually ruining its potential was a possibility.
Many thanks for your observations and interpretations, Push (and I hope you can wear a suit to work these days!).
Sorry about the result:(
There are rumours that Qatar has a little natural gas, too. If you have time, ask around - discreetly - and see what you can find out. ANGS might be looking for TO targets very soon!
About a quarter of a million buys within a few minutes of a 14.30 RNS! Snoozers = Losers?
This share gets more interesting by the day. Looks like Mr. Long is a very tough guy and not to be messed with! Let's hope that he can do as he says and bring value in CMRS to all of us! It certainly proved to be a huge disappointment under the old regime. GLA
Would be good to be able to listen in to what has been going on here. Blood on the Board Room carpet?
Certainly an odd time to release an RNS - pm on a Friday.
On my X-O (Jarvis) account cash balance, it APPEARS that I got what I asked for. BUT my Portfolio shows that I didn't, just a little more that the basic entitlement.
As per the original offer, the missing amount of the cash balance will be refunded later.
I hope that some have got many more but I doubt it. GLA
The following link should give Shirley a bit of an idea of what starting to drill a sidetrack with a whipstock involves. It starts on a marine rig but following links on YT will lead to other examples.

Not a 5 minute job. Work for real guys, no wimps need apply:)
Yes, even greater if they actually built the thing and put it to work!
Hi ME, thanks. Welcome to change your mind but good to know why, we badly need some info and encouragement atm.
And let's face it, things must be pretty desperate as some of us seem to feel the need to listen to Moon! Sincerely GLA.
On Uni Quiz Night - your starter for 10! Who wrote the following?
"Regret not researching and feel a fool for not. Can’t see it ever recovering so no now written off the money. Lesson learned". (On 7/10/22 at 09.00)
Answer:
None other than MarcusExile who is now telling any worried RMM holder to "give their head a wobble" and "needs their head testing"
He thinks Moon is some kind of oracle and advises us " I am not in the least bit worried about my investment."
