It's great that you have expertly delineated the magnitude of the project but I as a big 80M bull can understand the scepticism of others about Disko. Why do you think news is close , it was close when RE was in charge !! ??

It's not just the scale of Disko, it's the grade; it will be all about politics not economics.

That seems to me a thorough attempt to find some dirt on a key market for 80M........it's a very niche point, projects come and go all the time in any line of business.

In looking at the health of the SAF market wouldn't it be better to look at the share performance of the worlds leading producer of SAF than a singular project in a country with no relevance to 80M to judge the health of that market ?

Good point about Rach being a proxy though, I personally hadn't thought it through.

We've consistently agreed that in the short term JL is where it's add. I haven't got a clue on GS/ HL and as for Disko news could land any day- or not.

There has been some nice movement recently, personally I think that is JL that we are driving it.

Where we differ is RM, you may not trust him with your wallet but I think he's put the company in a better positio; he's basically swapped Met1 and Kangerkuarsuk for JL and GS/HV.

Since RM has returned there are a lot more shares in circulation.

Set against that there is a lot more cash and three core projects at an " inflection " point; couple of years ago there wasn't one.

I wasn't making a judgement on the value of JL. I was just saying that the figures used by EB looked incorrect (understated ) if it's predicated on the notional value used by Pelican.

The only caveat I'd put on your post is that we all look at the here and now, after all 80M could sell it's stake, do an equity swap etc before drilling.,

EB, thanks for your reply. I think some on here are sceptical because the $200m is a notional figure.I am neutral because I don't understand it. What I can say is that figure applies to March GL s share of the pie not the whole pie so you need to gross the figure up by 0.7.

Thanks for that, always appreciate people topping up my limited knowledge on mining.

I asked the question about drilling for specific commodities partly in hope; Disko is firstly a Ni project and that commodity is not flavour of the month. Look at Met1, hardly breeds confidence about their Ni project.

I think we are in a much better position now,( although I will reserve judgement on HV/GS , ) because of JL and the sale oof their share of Met1. £2m is a shed load of money for a company like 80M. How many shares would they have had to add via a Placing to raise that amount of money. So I think we're in a much better position partly through luck.

The bears will still point to the BODs track record and will ask questions about the strategy of the company; they've got a point.

HV/GS is a puzzling one; why sell Kangerluarsuk if the latter is about to generate cash ?

I wouldn't count the news of Disko reverting to 80M , personally, as significant because it had been on the cards for sometime.

Disko has been your favourite for sometime but the silence is deafening; I can understand why a lot of people think the BOD statements recently on Disko have been platitudes; the message is quite worn

What would you like for Disko to move forward; the JV with Kobold has been a failure and it seems to me that repeating the same exercise with another company risks the same end product' unless 80M are right and K wrong of course.It looks to me that they need to think outside the box.

Thinking outside the box may be selling it or merging the asset with AA's Disko and letting them get on with it ie Free Carry

As you know I know nothing about mining; can 80M go it alone ie a very very limted drill campaign ?

Can they drill for one metal ? They must have a rough idea where each each metal MAY be found ?I say this because the price of Platinum has gone gangbusters and if the project is as big as they say it is there must be a lot of it to uncover. Cobalt is also racing ahead but that's mainly political

Dundas is at a standstill because of commodity prices apparently. Commodity prices for Disko are looking reasonably favourable.

Rk, Imo it's just coincidence that there were a few buys after the RNS. Rach actually has put out a rare balanced post . The EBT scheme is neither here nor there.
