The main point is that although these othe perrpheral assets have no function at present they give the company flexibility.

If Greenland continues to gain traction could they simply focus on Greenland. ?If they sold HV/GS and their Finnish assets they would be a good position to do so for a number of reasons. They have US involvelment in two Greenland assets, could they repeat the trick with another ?

One of your criticism of 80M ,and a fair one IMO i is it''s been if we chuck enough mud at the wall some of it will stick..........possibly.

Concentrating on just Greenland would nail that point.

That's why I I made the point that I hadn't seen a notice of the relinquishing of licenses............ implying that could have happened.

Agreed, we've heard zilch.

The broader point is that the company has a number of other assets that coulld be developed.

A number of them are pertinently in " flavour of the month " assets eg Gold ( possibly ) Industrial gasses ( possibly )Copper ( most definitely )

For newbies 80M has a gold project Thunderstone in Greenland, not far from AMRQ I do believe.

Not quite sure what they are doing with it mind you, haven't seen anything to say they have relinquished the licenses.

Jimbolina, also Disko provides scale which is important in reducing unit costs.

Rach has a point about Greenland costs but has chosen to pick out the most negative article about costs.

Check out this article; it's about Lithium but the principle is the same.A more balanced post than Rach's.

Mining Disko shouldn't be that difficult; access is easy and it's not as inhospitable as some make out.

That area of Greenland actually gets some of the Gulf Stream and that's juniour school stuff.

I thought Ashton's comments that a takeover of 80M by Robert Price et al were fanciful.

I now think 80M will end up more of a US company than UK.

Well, he was responsible for the sale of WF, of which he owned 50%, for £2.75m of which $0.5m was recouped from March GL.

With hindsight that looks a very generous sale.

I've been pretty sanguine about Trump but another poster mentioned indirevtly that Greenland has thus far been a white elephabt.

They mention that RM et al have achieved very littke in 20 yeaes and that is hard to dispute.

At least Trump will stir the pot up, so to speak.

However, that needs to change and it can change quickly and easiily; but the framework needs to change and IMO it will. Quick enough for 80M shareholders, who knows.

Why would airlines have to buy SAF when they don;t have to, exactly.That's where we are at the moment.

They might start buying it if they can't fly or land their planes without it and I am sorry but we are starting to see signs of that.

Ashton, and more pertinently IMO the share price of the world's largest SAF producer Neste on a tear.-againsyt a decline in Crude prices.

You'd think shortages would lead to higher SAF prices.
