Ashton
Good post, thank you. Whilst another incumbent likes to focus on FACTS which is understandable a BB though , to me, is about conjecture.
Firstly, whats's your view- do you think RM would want a merger ?
Two sides of the coin here and it's a money coin.
From RM's perspective where would he make the most money. Longer term you'd think 80M, primarily because he can lace his remuneration package with options. Short term you'd think a merger would provide some immediate uplift so bird in hand etc that's to consider.
Pelican, IF and its definitely an IF, it's valued at what some say it is why would Pelican not want their hands on the 80M pie. Would RM be able to stop them ?
Few other points:
Does the last RNS give something away ? RM is obviously frustrated at the valuation gap of junior miners in the UK and the US.Is this a way of moving shop to the US through the back door ?
Robert Price of GS/ HV is CEO of Pelican and he will have a deep understanding of 80M; you'd think he'd want a merger as it beefs up his baby.
They've got cash if a sweetener is required
Any whiff of a merger and this flies so you may be accused of ramping!
