Enquest was doing exceptionally well compared to most of the rest of the bear market and was at year highs.
Now with the worsening economic situation and the windfall tax it is falling in line with the rest of the market towards year lows.

BP has only lost 40% of its value so that's fairly positive, so hopefully with clarification of the windfall tax Enquest could be undervalued but don't count on it, unfortunately the year low for Enquest is currently 16.9p

This is more serious - Dairy Crest are a major M&S supplier.
It seems their actions are unforgivable - hence the large fine.

Claims made should maybe not be taken at face value - a vegan food group has made the claims and the info was obtained last year - it now seems that any infringements have been rectified to satisfy the authorities - also alleged issues could have occurred when the birds were housed undercover for protection from Bird Flu.

You have made you point about the chart and clearly you have been proved correct.
But, the fall is far more market related than specific to EQT.
If market conditions had been better the SP would probably be double what it is now.

So keep looking at your charts please and tell us all when when you start to see the recovery.

The same macro forces that created the bear market for most of the market are now consuming oil shares because oil consumption now seems likely to fall - note BP is now well off its years high.

Its actually the tech hardware that's the main part of the package - they are building fully developed CFC's around the globe for their solution partners. The tech is being updated all the time - in house and by acquisition.
Revenue will be a percentage of turnover from these CFC's.

I don't see the Government doing any sort of concessions that will please Equinor - in other words, no U turns on policy.

But, they will probably look for ways of mitigating the impact for the smaller UK based oil companies, such as Enquest.
The easy way to do that would be to exempt companies from the windfall tax altogether if their turnover is below a certain threshold or only tax them on the income over the threshold - just like personal allowances for Income Tax.

Actually in the news conference after last Wednesday's Fed rate increase, Powell said that he wasn't expecting such large rate hikes on a regular basis - this helped calm the US markets.

Its important to remember that share prices always start to recover before the end of a economic downturn.

As soon as investors see a way through the current economic problems, share prices will recover, even if inflation and interest rates are still increasing.
