I think the bottom line at the moment is that nothing has changed and SM still plan the bond issue on the same original terms before the end of September - no need for a new RNS if this is the case.

It is probably good news that we haven't had another RNS because SM see no reason to change the terms - if SM were going to change the terms we probably would have heard by now.

As I understand it SM can go to the bond market at any time and we won't know the outcome until a conclusion has been reached.

In other words I don't think that SM have to release another RNS to say that they are going back to the market unless they change the term for the bonds - but look out for rumours especially with regard the interest rate offered.

This is a gift for the Saudi's - they can milk it to help them push up oil prices - especially if there is damage at Abqaiq that might take a time to fix.

The Saudi fires are the top story now - Brent could have a very good day on Monday.

One of the targets was the Abqaiq plant that turns sour crude into sweet crude, producing up to 7 million barrels a day. Aramco says it is the world's largest "crude oil stabilisation plant" - not sure how that would affect oil supplies if it was out of action for an extended period???

The STS has completed - Ridgeway Pride is due to sail on Monday at lunchtime - her first stop is Southwold off the Suffolk coast for refuelling.

Yes, agree Squif - Brent looks like it will remain fairly volatile but only within a certain band - maybe between $56-$66 into 2020.

The thing is where does this leave Enquest - we know things are improving - even the brokers are seeing that now - I am now cautiously optimistic and expect the SP to grind higher towards the mid 20's over the next month or so. This will come as volume improves.

12 Sep RBC Capital Markets - Underperform - target price 19p

Also it seems RBC sneaked in an upgrade yesterday as well - I think their old target price was 15p.

It looks like the rumour mill is in full swing with todays rise in the SP - lets hope its more than rumour and the bond issue is imminent - all speculation though.

Also remember that the shorts know where the stop losses are placed and can use this info to pull down the SP - their sells trigger more stop loss sells as the SP falls giving them potentially more profits when they eventually cash out.

From AB's point of view I think that Enquest is very much a work in progress and that reflects in the SP - the main reason the SP is so low, I think, is the almost total reliance on Kraken - this has been alleviated to a certain extent by Magnus but Enquest is still very vulnerable to Kraken shutdowns.

AB, is still quite young and has I think has much more to offer, we will, I think see something new from him quite soon.
What it will be, who knows, we can only speculate - maybe he will set his sights on a competitor.

This is what can happen to an investor if you put a stop loss in place and something unexpected like malicious rumours are circulated by unscrupulous shorts - you get wiped out - all of it.

Most definitely - our little ugly duckling will become a very beautiful white swan indeed - but it will take a few winters yet.

We are still seeing fallout from Woodford - too many shares in the trading arena now - that will change - just be patient - when the good news comes SP will rise - but will be slower and more sustained than in the past - personally I don't think this is a traders share anymore - just a long term hold for patient investors.

I detect the tide is starting to turn against Trump - maybe the first stirrings of an OPEC led bull market - I still don't trust the Russians though - they could easily spoil the party.

The market cap need external help as well - OPEC+ regaining control of the oil market from Trump would be the game changer.
