I guess we can assume that Bolton was hell bent on military action - if this is correct it does mean, I think, that the US is very close to the brink and the next provocation will in fact launch Trump into military action.

Trump doesn't like to be pushed by anyone - it has to be his idea - Bolton wasn't a yes man - next action will be Trump's own initiative - a bit of full blooded Muslim bashing - great for his core voters and many more besides.

Looks like another 500-550k load for the STS - Ridgeway Pride is a super tanker -already part full - so I guess she is Asia bound rather than the US.

I am now much more optimistic that the bond issue will be a success and that we won't see any more dilution.

The past week has seen a very impressive recovery in the corporate bond market that bodes well for SM - we will I think have some good news in just a few days.

The offload finished at about 5am this morning - 38 hours - AS has a draught of 12.7m indicating the normal load size of 500-550k - she is off to Scapa Flo at 14.8 knots for an STS with FSL Perth.

32 hours and counting - the AIS is so poor that it is possible the offload has now finished but AS has not been picked up moving away from AK yet so we must assume it continues.

Assuming its not going to Cyprus the only destinations it can be going now are Turkey and Syria but it may just unload some crude in Turkey - enough to bring the draught down - and then go on to Suez.

22 hours and counting - AIS is still all over the place but the offload continues - check back on past track of AS for confirmation.

As will probably show up again on AIS when she moves away from AK.

It looks like Minerva Clara is the STS partner - due Scapa Flo on Sunday.

This report from earlier in August gives a good insight into shale oils limitations - basically they are saying that marginal deposits of shale oil are not economic to extract with oil prices depressed - I guess that applies to other deposits around the world. including the UK.

It would seem that we have a hook up even though the AIS is strange and incomplete - looking at the past track for AS she has moved in a semi-circle that matches AK - so maybe at around 15.00 BST?

Hook up is in the final stages with AS just 0.4 nautical miles from AK - should be less than an hour away.

Just to draw the discussion away from all things financial - this is awesome - until you consider that SM's mine shaft will be three times deeper.

The subtle change of course could have big implications.

When investing in shares always follow the same logic - you will always get screwed at some stage but you will nearly always end up making money unless you loose your bottle.
