He has a clear commitment to Enquest and a different agenda.
My investment strategy in Enquest is based on the fact that Enquest is a sound company but the big variable is Brent - so unless I can see a clear path for Brent I am very wary.
Why commit before you have to - oil shares will be the last to recover - there is plenty of money to be made elsewhere before that.

I still have about a third of my original holding - my average on that is about 20p.
That's my point - the question is when to average down and buy back the other 2 thirds.
Its not black and white - holding or not holding - the way to make money is to go for grey.

Not sure that the average is the relevant question at the moment.
Its more a question of not holding to much equity - personally I have been selling over the last six months or so.
The real question is when to average down and start buying again - I am a long way from making that decision.

On days like this the only thing to do is to look at the macro situation - the wider economy is starting to pull back towards normality and the recession looks like although it is an extreme event is likely to be short lived.
The problem is though that oil will be one of the last sectors to benefit - I still cannot see Brent rising above $40 this year - not because of lack of demand later in the year but the oversupply is going to take some time to work through the system.

It looks like the last load from Kraken probably is on its way to the far east - first stop Malta - on board the ORPHEAS.

This is the first load for a while that hasn't gone to Rotterdam - I guess the demand for bunker fuel will be greatest in the Far East, hence the switch.
