That could unfortunately give the SP a shot of reality.

Its important to consider the versatility that Ocado Retail brings using the same high tech warehouse facilities.

The warehouse could service a whole range of websites, aimed at different types of consumer - these websites could become household names in their own right without many consumers knowing that they are part of Ocado retail and M&S.

For example you could have an online budget supermarket offering a basic range - rather like Aldi and Lidl or a fashion website to take on Boohoo.

Ocado have worked on this concept with their pet shop - Fetch.

Yes, certainly agree - there is no need for big capital raise at the moment - the business is nicely set up with room for expansion of capacity in one location. The only need may be for more working capital - this can easily be found from borrowing.
The only need for new equity could be if one of the main big name customers wants an equity stake - that could be very good news!

The catalyst could be the complete reopening of the stores on 15th June - the shorts may want out before this date and we can expect a good boost for the SP.
The SP should then begin a slow rise back to around 1.85 and hopefully move on from there.

I certainly agree about supply and demand but politics influences that as well.

For example OPEC+ getting their own back on the US this Spring after they took the cuts while the US increased production.

Not sure that we will get the leadership for price stability until Trump gets the boot in November - if he does - his relations with China make me nervous - that's the trouble with oil - to much politics. OPEC+ seem set to do the right thing though.
Gone long on MKS - could double up by next spring with the shine of Ocado and some heavy pruning.

Just focus on the market cap of £4m - the company is clearly worth much more than that.

M&S own 50% of Ocado Retail - this is just the retail operation in the UK - the automated warehouses, local hubs etc.

The problem is that OPEC+ don't just need to maintain the equilibrium but they need to extend the production cuts to the end of the year - they are currently due to reduce from July onwards.
KSA are reported to want to extend the cuts - I guess Russia will make their position clearer over the next few days but then the duplicity between the two always tends to be bad news!

The super tanker Eurochampion is now on her way to Singapore with a full load of Kraken crude from loads 65 and the latest load 67.
Her draught in 16.8m - so she is rather full!!!

Its not a good time to think about share repurchasing in any quoted company - investors are far more likely to see a rights issue - hopefully that won't be the case with Enquest but we do still need to see Brent higher.
Even Whitbread, who were awash with cash after selling Costa, are now having a rights issue.

Take a look at MKS from a UT with 123 million shares through to the final trade 2 hours later - very perplexing.

This is still a high figure but they have probably hedged their short positions with long positions and with the rapid rise in the SP are still not loosing out as they slowly reduce both positions.

The actual figure for stock out on loan - shorts - for April 2020 is 11.88% - down from 14.16% in March 2020.

The are TNCP trades - no idea what they are but they don't seem to have anything to do with normal trading - they are classed as non price forming - looking around at other stocks, not just oil stocks but right across the market, they all had similar trades - maybe it has something to do with the end of the month???

Ocado is still a strong buy - new deals in the pipeline - looks like the first one could be in South Korea.

Totally agree - MKS is a fantastic recovery stock, especially now it owns 50% of Ocado Retail.
Its not often that investors get a chance to buy such a great investment at such a low ebb.
Especially now that Steve Rowe has a free hand to ditch the past and push online.
In 5 years this company will be the driving force in UK retail again - just like it always used to be.

This is an exceptionally well run company as has been pointed out - I guess there is a chance of a rights issue - hence the low SP and erratic recovery.
