Oil seems to have followed the market down after the NASDAQ dropped yesterday.
It looks to be in recovery mode so hopefully Brent should rebound quite quickly.
The reason for the NASDAQ fall seems to be market manipulation in the US.

That could be like a very move - the NASDAQ looks to be on the way up again so Monday will hopefully be a blue day.

No idea where the market is going short term - NASDAQ is flying around all over the place - but selling now is just bloody stupid - a knee jerk reaction.
The fundamentals here are still rock solid and we could get an RHS any day to say that another contract has been signed - maybe in South Korea for example.

I guess it depends how the data is recorded and who puts their spin on it.

Also maybe oil from storage isn't recorded as consumption in some countries - China for example - that would make a big difference. China may also have a lot more in storage than is officially recorded - Russian pipelines to China are not monitored.

Also nations that import a lot - like China - may be under recording consumption to hold down the oil price

That string of buys were for his charity - maybe the timing is dependent on the charities finances and his.

You could well be correct because we didn't get an accurate start time because of poor AIS, I don't trust the reported draught, so I use the load time - around 26-27 hours tends to indicate around 500k - this seemed to be around 26 hours..

This load was taken only 9 days after the last tanker left - so it could be less than 500k on that measure.

We have had light loads like this before, that have been taken within 10 days - hence my conclusion that this could have been for Cairn and backed up by the unusual destination. I would guess a load between 450-500k.

Tech stocks in general knocked back this afternoon in UK and led by US.

Quite a big knock back all around - hydrogen tech stocks are also down but some of the badly affected corvid stocks still have good gains.

The hook-up has finished after around 25 hours and PS is on her way to a new destination for Kraken crude, the industrial port of KALUNDBORG in Denmark - this is presumably the final destination.
The load looks to be up to 500k maybe slightly less.
Maybe this is a load for Cairn???

Yes, it took the England's economy over 120 years to recover from the Black Death - I don't think that we will have to wait that long - the black swan is already showing signs of flight.

The only problem is that refinancing deals often also involve an equity raise and after a period of low oil prices that becomes more likely - hopefully we will see Brent higher when discussions become decisions.

That may well be the case with Tullow but Enquest will be one of the survivors and will eventually be a good investment/trade when Brent does reach around $55 again - sadly for Tullow they seem to be, to put it politely, knackered like romaron's bullock.

The Kraken premium is a sort of hedge and maybe it gave AB more confidence than was justified in hindsight - no one predicted the fall in Brent this year as a result of Covid.

Its harsh but the only positive about today's results is that there wasn't a negative - all the rest is about macro.
