Yes, that did seem to be the case - it looked like the whole market had just been knocked back by the SoftBank options debacle and we would see a modest recovery this week but the oil price seems to have run into the buffers - I guess that Brent can only trade sideways for so long and now other factors have weighed in and pushed it down.

My guess is that without too much to move it one way or the other, Brent will drift down to around $40 and then slowly rise again to $45 by Christmas???

Sales stats from Primark - sales down 12% since lockdown - comparted to equivalent period in 2019 but only down 5% if the City Centre stores are stripped out.

The market won't be much interested in how Ocado Retail is trading - all the value and interest is on the global tech side of the business.

Its not logical that tech stock share prices will bounce back to where at the beginning of last week -SoftBank created a price bubble and that has now burst.
Ocado have to get back to 2500 on merit - a good RNS will do the job.

My target for the SP is modest - to simply end each month over the next year higher than the previous month.

Their business model is based on a limited range at low margins so adding the expense of home delivery simply won't work.

They will, however have a major influence on the grocery market by trimming the margins offered by the big four and will play a big part going forward as they put the squeeze on the big four's profits.

So, its an attack from both sides for the big four and its one they will loose not just in terms of market share but profit as well. Unless off course one of them purchases the other 50% of Ocado Retail.
