AIM is all about instant gratification so the true worth of Scancell remains too far into the future.

January will bring the much awaited ModiFY Trial update and the Interim Report.

One very significant update will be early data on the Renal Cell Carcinoma cohort using a double checkpoint with Modi1.

It will be big news if the early indication is similar to the SCOPE trial.

The market will only wake up when the institutional investors have already jumped in and hoovered up any cheap shares.

Usually Dracs those buy outs are for products or treatments that are well understood so the buyer knows exactly where that new tech is going to lead.

Scancell is a pioneer bringing the possibility of a new technology or pathway to fight cancer.

Bottom line is that we need clear and effective data that proves Scancell has a competitive / highly profitable new technology.

That’s a really heartening story.

It’s always tremendous to hear the strides forward we are making in the fight to beat cancer.

Every successful trial outcome is another patient given more time to enjoy life and yet more progress.

You are confirming my point, the decision by the Pharma Co has been made early and Scancell are aware of that fact.

The exclusive deal could have been strung out until mid January if necessary.

I’m going to take that as a positive, they like what they’ve seen and want to proceed.

That’s what I mean, 7 months from that announcement is 11th Jan 2025.

So if Scancell are confident that they will have a decision in December that would have to imply that the decision has already been made. Does that mean it’s just paperwork and the amount to settle or that it’s not happening ??

Otherwise how would they have the knowledge and / or the authority to say its concluding a month early ?

I’ve just listened to the recording of this years AGM and Lindy clearly says in the opening statements that they will know if the exclusive deal with the large pharma company is going ahead in December, “that being six months from signing the deal”.

So was it a 6 month or 7 month deal ?

This has been something I’ve tried to figure out. Why the drop from 13 patients ( 85% ) to 25 patients ( 72% ).

Lindy did say that the result is down to two patients that progressed during the trial and that is probably down to patient selection.

Bottom line seems to be that the pressure to progress the trial towards 43 patients lead to the acceptance of two borderline cases that has backfired and screwed the much higher expect ORR.

For instance, if a patient is found to be borderline in the tolerance level of the Checkpoints it’s surely not going to be improved by adding SCiB1 because SCIB1 needs both checkpoints to be working to be able to defeat the tumour and create a positive response,

I’m wondering if the reduction in the ORR had been caused solely due to trial time pressure. If it is, I do hope that in the future they put the science first.

I agree that an uplift to 16p is a nice profit on 11p and my point is that today’s news was already anticipated in that price.

For the share to move above 20p the data needed be solid ( which it is ) but combined with a timeframe that did not include further slippage. Two elements, firstly that the cash runway is currently Aug / Sept ish 2025 and the complete data on SCIB1 is now around end June 2025. iSCiB+ is end 2025.

Secondly, any delays now affects the potential start of the Registration Trial for SCIB1, that trial will take 18 months minimum possibly 24 months, making the end data mid 2027.

Redmile pushed their CLN’s back to Sept 2027 so that timing is not ideal.

Please don’t get me wrong I’m still a huge supporter of Scancells ultimate potential especially ModiTope.

That’s one really great thing about Scancell there are many ‘shots on goal’ and today’s news is about only one of those shots.

But the market needs clarity not further data slippage.

The last cash raise at the back of 2023 was priced at 11p. I like many Scancell investors took part in that cash call to enable the company to reach the next pivotal point in the trials, where the data would show the potential commercial value.

“Commenting on the proposed Capital Raise, Prof Lindy Durrant, Chief Executive Officer, said: "Scancell is producing highly-significant data across its pipeline of cancer vaccines. The recent updates from the SCOPE study are showing previously unseen response rates in melanoma including an objective response rate of over 85 per cent. and a complete responder. The study remains on track with data expected in H1 2024 and based upon the first 13 patients there is a greater than 90% probability that the second phase will also be successful”.

So the question is :

Did today’s RNS fulfill the expections of those who took part at 11p ?

I think the data released today falls short of my expectations, especially in the area of promised timings ( H1 2024 ).

Clarity is needed as to the options available to Scancell in 2025 to move the SP back beyond 30p

I don’t think Scancell have suddenly decided that all that research and laboratory time has to be binned. It must have something to do with the possible Antibody deal coming up in December.

Hi C11, yes I noticed that it’s still very much part of the company’s website listing.

SC88 is listed as part of the pipeline in the presentation’Interim Report’ Jan 24.

Then not listed in either the Year End or the AGM presentations. What is noted on Slide 14 of the Year End and slide 16 of the AGM is :

‘One Antibody is under exclusive valuation for ADC/TCB Radioimmunotherapy’.

Can I assume therefore that SC88 is the antibody that is subject to the 7 month exclusive $1M deal ?

Is there any information that we are privy to that explains why SC88 has been dropped from the last few company updates ?

I don’t think I’m a delusional fool for looking at Study Design plot that clearly says 12 & 24 weeks CT Scan.

You could have very easily pointed out that the Spider plot differs without being so crass.

We are all in this investment together some of us a little happier about that fact than others it would seem.

Scinv-temp please look at page 8 of Scancell’s presentation where it clearly shows the second scan at 24 weeks.

You are obviously confusing the SCOPE trial with something else.

Oh and an apology would be in order but I doubt that you would ever be so considerate.

Scinv-temp sees the future of Scancell in a very linear and potentially negative way.

The points made are dependant on whether its SCIB1 or iSCIB+ but that may not be the case.

The SCOPE trial ORR is banked at the second scan ( 25 weeks ) which will complicate matters once SCIB1 is completed and the results issued, around early / min January, only then will iSCIB+ be in a position to recruit the HLA positive patients needed and reach the desired 43 trial participants.

That will mean a comparison between the two cannot be made until July / August 2025 ( 2nd scans at 25 weeks ).

However the data for SCIB1, although only 30% of the market, may be powerful enough to attract a partner ( BMS ) to fund the Registration Trial and iSCIB+ will just follow on some six months later.

Also let's not forget that we are now in a Modi1 cohort with Double Checkpoints, if that looks as good as the SCIB1 results we could have another potential blockbuster.

There are many potential outcomes to our Trials and they look like they will be mainly on the positive side.

The Genmab deal will be low single digit millions for the next milestone and if the 6 month exclusivity deal matures it will be similar per target. The Genmab deal is loaded towards phase3 and drug approval milestones. So 3 to5 years for the big numbers.

When discussing the potential market value of a fully validated SCIB1 they said :

Total world market = 60,000 cases a year

Target Market = 25% ( 15,000 cases a year)

Price per treatment £100,000

In theory that’s a sales target of £1.5B per year. Not a small amount to start with.
