RE: further to discussions with Bermuda28 Aug 2019 16:39
Thank you for your reply's,
I asked that earlier question because due to the FDA hold up we've been treading water on the SCIB 1 / Combo front for 12 months and we could have had very valuable data in our hands by now if the US trail had started in Jan 2019.
I do realise during that time we have been pushing on with the MODI platform, but I get the sense that big pharma are getting very aggressive in the Cancer - Immunotherapy area. When a deal goes through like "Immatics scores $75M upfront in TCR deal with Celgene, with possible $550M to follow", it makes me ask, "are we being overtaken due to our lack of clinical data". After all big pharma has way more resources at their disposal to speed things up.
So your answers tell me, that although these other teams have science that looks promising, in the main they all have to prove their theoretical science against a specific antigen and its the antigen that they are still trying to find and engage, which may take a year or years to achieve.
Therefore the data from the future MODI 1 Trial is going to have the Cancer - Immunotherapy scientific community on the edge of their seats and Big Pharma reaching for their wallets. Now that is the scenario that I sit on the edge of my seat and dream about. As we keep being told 'its all about the data'.
Chester.
