The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
meoryou...I agree that the time is not right with the horrors taking place in Ukraine right now. I believe that all British Governments over the past 15 plus years have neglected to formulate a proper plan for our energy transition away from fossil fuels over time , if it made economic sense. I recall Ed Milliband spouting forth on this subject a long time ago but that was around the time that he was having trouble eating bacon sandwiches .
Windfall tax is being pushed by Labour as they are bereft of any other ideas. This will hinder the green push that BP , Shell and others are pursuing at present and will do nothing to halt the rise of prices at the pumps.
PP....looking at the number of posts since you joined in December 2021 makes me wonder if you do anything useful . You need to look at the history of KEFI and HAA and especially Director Deals. Previous Chairman sold shares at 10p before 17:1 consolidation so effectively £1.70. This dog of a share only needs to go up 200X to get back to that level. I assume that you have never met HAA ?
Rebess.......I am now more sure that some City spivs knew these results were coming a week ago. Shares were 110 then !
RE....Do you not think that a number of people will already know the results due to be published tomorrow and have acted accordingly ?
Elingles.....You are missing the Harry factor in addition to the fact that the debt finance package is non-binding and with rampant inflation I expect that the latest plant cost has increased.
Cowichan....I initially bought in at 108p and just watched the drop into the 80's but more confident of the future now that Martin and his team have grafted hard to get this company back on track. I am very keen on Cote D'Ivoire having invested in an ASX listed gold developer there a few years ago. Good luck.
And this together with Softrock's link to the Martin Horgan presentation at the recent BMO conference will get more investors interested in the great Centamin story. I topped up my investment by a further circa £10k today. The extension of the mine life at Sukari , the additional licence areas in Egypt combined with Doropo in Cote D'Ivoire make a very compelling case for 700k ozs. production a few years out.
Robina......just be patient here and you might be rewarded.
Muppet....missed your chance to buy lower !!
Paul...I agree with you on superb RIO but a couple of my other stocks Centamin and Anglo Pacific have performed reasonably well .
We are sitting on massive gas reserves offshore and onshore in the UK. We must get fracking soonest and this should have been started years ago under Blair or Brown. It is still not too late.
I agree that shareholders here and in POG and AMC should be far more concerned with the plight of the Ukrainian families than losing a few bob on their investments. Can you imagine what it feels like having a child or grandchild being killed in their family apartment ?
Kammy.......Robin Young has only been running this company so that he can draw a very large salary for doing very little. Saw him present in London at least 6 years ago and he had very little clue then.
I do hope that Pavel and Alfiya are enjoying this drop in the share price and looking forward to having their yachts, villas and other assets frozen. Proceeds to go to Ukrainian refugees and families of murdered innocents. I assume that they are Russian by the way.
Agree on those sentiments Dusty. The rise in the price of nickel has been amazing over the past few years and a very important commodity to have in one's portfolio. I will be happy for the Company to keep the current rate of dividend and plough back more into new projects when the opportunities arise.
Harry seems to have run out of printer ink or else the various bankers and Govt. officials have lost their pens.
But if Tesco's prices had gone up by 2/3rds and had been selling all items ......what then ? Analogy Brent from $60 to $100. !!
If shareholders were lied to by Pardey and the rest then the toothless regulators in the CITY should hold them to account and block their current shareholdings or impose massive fines. Let them appeal at their own cost.
Jakers , I am also sticking in here having entered in the 330's . Can you imagine how much cash BP is generating at $90 or even $100 per barrel. If this continues for a few more months the write off for Russian assets will become less material.
