The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring financial educator and author Jared Dillian has been released. Listen here.
Over the past 3 days I have had a number of meetings online with the CEO s of mining companies through the Mines & Money portal and the message , loud and clear, is that the world is heading for a major deficit in Copper and Uranium in the next 5 years. I suspect that the same can be said for cobalt. I classify all of these as future commodities whether for EV's or power.
Interesting that the Company were prepared to pay £4 today for over 5 million shares in the buyback programme. They will have a very good idea about the full year numbers already so good enough for me !
Excellent update and a good set of results for JT , having masterminded the transition from thermal coal to "future" commodities.
Hope we can add a lump of copper to the portfolio in the future since there could be a massive shortage in a few years time due to the EV ramp up.
Unless he is sitting on some results waiting for some decent grades to report. I have been speaking to exploration companies over the past couple of days on the Mines and Money Forum as well as in Cote D'Ivoire and Mali and despite Covid there seems to be no problem in getting 3 to 4 weeks turnaround. It might be down to "relationship" issues. Seriously have a look at the infection rates in Zimbabwe.
It is dividend declaration day for 4th QTR only.
Jayz.....prove that the labs are holding things up as I do not believe a word of it .
Bickmaster........from past experience of funding to DFS level I would expect that the Company will need to raise in the order of $8 to $10 million. Drilling might have to be done on a 50X50 metre drill pattern for starters in order to get a JORC 2012 compliant indicated resource. Why is George being so coy about releasing results at the moment ?
Interest rate rises have been factored in and markets look resilient today.
And an interesting time ahead with Qtrly Dividend announcement on Thursday and Financial Results due to be announced on 8 February. One of the best performing share in my ISA.
VOD and BATS , both of which I hold in an ISA are both up today.
Rio will have no problem boosting their "battery portfolio" with 2 billion saved in Serbia. The Government might come to their senses when the and if the French Open, Italian Open and Wimbledon ban ND from the mens' locker rooms unless he follows their guidelines. In a couple of years Serbia will come pleading with RIO.
Best of all Smellyben, go and meet him when he is in London. I have met him on a number of occasions in Cape Town and London and will be interesting to see what you think. Bear in mind that this share was 10p before a 1:17 consolidation so effectively £1.70 !!
Snowking.....you have shown yourself to be clueless on many fronts so stop bragging about how rich you are going to be "once this hits 1p". If you are so close to GR as you imply why not ask him to produce a schedule of how much the DFS is expected to cost , showing the various elements and timelines. You might like to take a look at how Atlantic Lithium has performed over the past few weeks and see how that company presents its information to all shareholders and potential investors. GR tweets etc. are a complete and utter joke !
I think it is based on volume rather than value for the trades. Penny stocks such as PREM and KEFI show up from time to time but LGEN, BATS , RIO etc. less so unless a 100k plus trade.
Add to that , shopping for the wife in Bond Street ! Who are the Sydney based shareholders then ?
Despite being rumoured over the week-end and before , I believe that others might enter the bidding war here. I would prefer to keep the whole of GSK under one umbrella but a higher bid might be tempting.
Johnny....I think quite a few on here have seen through Snowking.
Snowking....you are more of a fool than I thought and suggest that you read your post of yesterday at 12:39 when you mention Circum in the third line.(before you delete it !!) Get on the phone to AMED to find out about Circum and stop listening to the drivel spouted by GR who has very little grasp of what will be involved in producing an independently verified DFS.
Snowking....still banging on about Circum. Nothing has happened there for years and years so suggest that you pick up the phone to the big investors in that private company rather than listening to the garbage that GR spouts incessantly. AMED has an office in Cape Town and London. GR is now looking through assay results from drilling to see which metre of drilling has the best numbers to release to the market. Might take a bit longer though.
Acker.....depends on what he really has in the ground here. Do you honestly believe that he has 14 interested parties at this stage ? Forget the Chinese as they will walk all over him but if he has South Koreans interested (see Liontown Resources ASX:LTR) then that might be interesting. I doubt any serious company will want to be in a JV but might be interested in offtake once a proper DFS , including power permits, water permits and ESG matters are included. GR is going to need to raise massive amounts to finalise a DFS to world standards.
