Trading is complex. Not only are trades allocated and segregated in certain ways to avoid "moving the market", but they are also reported in a delayed fashion.

My pal works for a MM, the primary reason is risk and reward. One who dabbles in a company with zero cash flow, "with client money" is viewed with great scrutiny in the community. To put simply, you cannot afford risk when you are managing money for orphans and widows. Your own cash? Sure, throw it wherever you want.

Mkreed: Most of the guys here said the same. The reason for the release of the "bad" info forst, was probably because it was leaked. If you track the facebook comments it appears the rumour mill in Teeside was in full swing days prior to the RNS. And actually, dare I saily it, £0.5bn of costs to bolster the tunnel and make it REALLY robust should help navigate the issues that would have become apparent had we not revised our plans.

But is it probable? No, not probable.

The takeover price calculation generally prices in x number of years profit as a premium to net asset value. So, a company's assets today + a middle range of profit estimates over x years.

However in a situation where you have say, a half built mine and a bunch of ToPs, the shareholders would probably agree a price that would equal to (finished mine + ToPs profit x (x)years).

Genuinely? SXX have identified a seam of 0.5 billion tonnes of salt, which due to being accessed cheaply, they believe could be highly disruptive. The markets are up, so no surprise that high beta stocks are up more. That is how it works. Fundamentals are still sound but I wouldn't read too much into price movements until Q1 19. Price does not equal value. Always remember that.

Alan I am with you. Ignore the naysayers and the rampers. That close banker pal of mine I occasionally quote also said this "If you are not inside, you're outside". The point being, a person who doesn't have involvement, doesn't really know. Sure they can read as much as Myo, but even the Oracle of (insert home town) doesn't really know. The problem with investment is that it is all relative. Losing 10k on this stock might be peanuts to some, but life savings to another. So we can only trust our own gut, based on our own research. Given that the market cap today is equivelent to like, 2 years worth of profit in 10 years (bag of fag packet) this is a bonkers share price.

Even when you adjust for risks.

Earlier thia year some of you were posting stuff like "the mine and budget are a certainty, but where are the ToPs".

Now it's like "3m ToPs in the bag, but where's the mine".
