Yes Ivy. If you don’t actually end up worse off because that investment goes bad and you’d have been better off staying put! That’s the flip side to your statement.

There are lots of very high risk investments out there. The Rare Earths sector just as one example ;-)

Yep I think Rats post summed it up very nicely:

One thing I would add, is that the investment case clearly isn’t exclusively about the merits (or not) of Modi-1. Shots on goal, arrows in the quiver, multi-trick pony, call it what you want but my view is there can be news at any time on products other than Modi-1 and that’s why I haven’t sold to this point. “The best is yet to come” is still a possibility right?

That’s not how I read the RNS:

“Scancell has developed a novel technology platform for producing monoclonal antibodies that recognise glycans with high specificity and affinity. The platform has generated revenues and the antibodies continue to yield compelling results which have led to a new 6-month evaluation by a leading Biotech company. Additional in-house data has illustrated the potential of our antibodies as chimeric antigen receptor T cell (CART) therapies providing the data for a deal with a cell therapy company. These results along with updates on SCIB1 and Modi-1 will be presented at the AACR-CIMT meeting in Milan in September 2023.”

No hope? I don’t go along with that.

Yep, my take also. Nil confidence that Q4 target for expansion will be hit and no customer contracts confirmed in place.

Yeah and I suspect a very small beer deal - particularly given no financial elements disclosed. These kind of deals are happening on a daily basis and for me, are of the “so what” variety.

Posted on here have been questions around whether Lindy / Scancell are looking after PI’s. Well, turning down unsuitable low-ball offers and telling suitors to “do one” (masked via professional language of course :-))is highly likely to have happened more than once over the last few years imo.

In fact if you look back to the RNS Sept 2019, you can see that 6 posters were presented at this same Conference.

However many drawing pins are needed this time around, 4 years on from that, there is far, far more meat on the bone.

My diary is free that week, if they just need an extra person to hold a stick and point, when directed.

I strongly suspect, that during the Milan 20th-23rd Conference, it won’t be just one poster presentation, there will be multiple in order to separate out and showcase all Scancell’s shots on goal. Quite how that translates into resources needed, not sure but could be taken as an indication of product confidence and commitment.

More than 4 drawing pins will be needed.

Well, whether Buys or Sells, we’re not going to end the week at 5p :-)
