Yes indeed. I posted at the weekend to say I took comfort in the fact there has been no bad news released ie. that was ahead of todays update.

Point being, we've now had an update that breaks the news blackout of several months (and a comprehensive one) and there is still no bad news.

Perhaps another point to make is the somewhat clearer injection of commercial nous into todays update. Cossery influence perhaps.

Agree Burble. I think that extract from the RNS, harnessed to the wording around funding, makes that a strong possibility.

Whilst the news blackout is a little frustrating, I take some comfort from the fact it could be far, far worse for us here and consequently on patients under current treatment.

Trial expansion? Tick. Safety profile? Tick. Initial efficacy data readout? Tick. News could have been far less positive and maybe even the Modi trial halted by now.

Good to see that those at the top are being dangled a carrot. Wonder what the conditional performance criteria has been set at.

Firstly this is a speculative post, so anyone here that doesn’t do speculation, can ignore it :-)

There have been many posts in the past about big pharma action / takeover and various associated numbers but perhaps not about the possible structure of that.

I wonder whether if it ever happens, it might be along the lines of £xM up front and then more only if products in the pipeline meet certain success criteria, perhaps even leaving Scancell as a standalone entity within the wider Pharma organisation.

Yep and on Point 1, let’s not forget what we absolutely do know.

This was stated in the ASCO RNS and note the key word “remain”.

As was the very clear fact that Cohort 3 was complete, there were no safety concerns and the first patient in Cohort 4 had been dosed.

Nothing, absolutely nothing, to say that the trial doesn’t remain on the rails as of the date of the ASCO RNS.

The journalist Julia Kollewe, appears to be a Scancell champion, as this isn’t the first article she has penned. If that is the case, then it’s very positive to already have a mainstream press resource onside who understand the company, for if/when further significant news arrives.

Maybe she should sit next to Lindy at more of those dinner parties :-)

Who knows on the SP.

The fact and market sentiment that big pharma are splashing large amounts of cash, is more positive than them not imo. Particularly so when we know that Scancell are connected with some of those players.
